Yep. Mayfield can make all of the plays Manziel did and he can sit in the pocket and pick you apart.

2 of those guys are established starters in the league and you're using them to prove your point that Baker won't be good in the NFL? Ok.

Good lord so me saying Lamar is a stat stuffer implies that I think Lamar is selfish. That's kind of a stretch if you ask me. I don't take offense to Lamar Jackson I don't understand why you would think that. I don't see why everyone is so upset that Lamar finsihed second.

Why is everyone so worked up over the fact that Lamar finished third? It's not like it was close between Baker and Love either. In the end 2nd place is simply first place loser.

Oh yes because I haven't defended Jackson several times in this thread when others said he wouldn't be a good NFL QB. He is a stat-stuffer. Since when did stat-stuffer become an insult? If UL beat Clemson and was in playoff contention, Lamar probably would have won. But they didn't win and Lamar didn't play well. Last year UL lost to Clemson but Lamar had a hell of a game. This year he didn't. Baker has starred in the big games this year. Baker...

Bengals. My dad bought season tickets in 1979 and we have planned our Sundays in the fall around the Bengals games since I was born. Being a Bengals fan is all I've ever known. Growing up I didn't understand just how much pain and suffering my Dad had sat through all of these years. He had 2 tickets at Riverfront but when PBS opened we bought 4. Being a Bengals fan is the truest fandom one can ever know. For a brief second in January I felt the...

I mean it sure seemed like a shot to me... I don't quite understand your argument that Buckeye fans, outside of essentially me, are praising Mayfield. Most have the same view that everyone else on here seems to think of the guy which is he's great but he's a punk and they can't stand him for obvious reasons. I'm choosing to look past what he did in Columbus and appreciate him for who he is; the best college football player in the country. It's...

Umm peruse some Buckeye fan sites. I promise you I am in the small minority that actually like Baker Mayfield. I liked Baker last year when OSU embarrassed OU on their home field. He's been one of the 3 best QB's in the country every year he has been at OU and this year he was the best QB in the country. I think this was just a poor attempt to take a shot at me and other Buckeye fans.

How I feel about Corey Dillon resembles how I feel about Joey Votto. Most underappreciated stars in Cincinnati sports history.

Couch sucked for a bad team. Dillon was a stud on a bad team. Dillon produced, Couch didn't.

Corey Dillon was not Marshall Faulk so I will clarify that first, but some of you all are mistaking excuses for fact. Corey Dillon played on the modern day equivalent of the Browns. He played for the most inept and arguably worst organization in the league. Marshall Faulk played on a team and in an offense that had their own nickname they were so good. Faulk was a more versatile back and overall better back. Faulk is probably the best all around...

Got to love it when the Bengals make rookie QBs look like Tom Brady. We have a habit of doing that.

I threw the stat out to avoid the whole Big 12 QB argument we hear all the time about how it's just a bunch of short passes and that's why the efficiency numbers are where they are. That's usually the argument against Big 12 QBs. You can't make that argument against Baker. It comes down to essentially one thing for me, Lamar isn't going into Columbus or Stillwater and doing what Baker did.

:lol2: We all know Eli Manning is going to be quarterbacking the Jags next year. Haha But I agree with you. I would love to have him on the Bengals.

I disagree. I think both will actually have decent careers in the NFL as QBs. Mayfield landing in the right spot will be very successful and Lamar is too electric to be irrlevant. I mean for Gods sake Tyrod Taylor is a starting QB in the NFL and he's basically a poor mans Lamar Jackson. Mayfield has attributes about him that transcend very well to the NFL game.

Yeah he's just going to save himself the effort and hit a completetion downfield. He had one of the most efficient seasons throwing the ball in NCAA history and average 16 yards per completion.

Yes he is. With 2 minutes left down 6 there is not one player in the country I want with the ball in his hands besides Baker Mayfield. When his team needs him the most he comes up every single time. Lamar is a stat stuffing machine, but he's Michael Vick. Flashy, electric with the ball in his hands, he does stuff no one else can do. Baker Mayfield is like Russell Wilson, Brett Favre, Drew Brees. Winners above all else. It's not what a piece of...
