I’m with you. It really shouldn’t be this hard to root for the underdog. Everyone loves the underdog. We constantly find ourselves cheering for the underdog if we don’t have a dog in the fight. Yet I find it really hard to root for UCF. Outside of Michigan I’m not sure of a single team in college football that I would root against if they played UCF. Even a Bama/ UCF matchup would be a toss up to me as far as who I would like to see lose more....

I really feel like this is it for Marvin. This just feels different to me. I don’t see them moving out of the Marvin coaching tree though. I think the first calls they make are definitely Zimmer, Gruden, Joseph, and obviously Hue who is already here. Id love for them to blow the whole thing up, but they won’t.

Driskell has been ok, he hasnít done anything to make me say we should hand the reigns over to him. I know we just disagree on the entire topic of who should play QB for the Bengals. I would just prefer to see what we have with AD and a new coaching staff.

I believe if the Bengals went with Driskell next year regardless of who is the coach, they are essentially giving up on the season before it even starts. I’ve seen enough of Driskell to this point and unless he dramatically improves these next two games, 5 games is plenty to go on to make this decision IMO.

Get rid of Marvin and Hue (Obviously at the end of this year). If given the choice any coach they bring in is going to roll with Dalton unless for some unforeseen reason they draft a QB in the 1st next year which I think would be a huge mistake. Give AD a year to be successful with a new regime and if then you don’t think AD is the guy, then grab a QB in what looks like a great QB class next year. Either way Dalton gives this team and (hopefully...

We know your feelings on Dalton. We agree on certain things about him and disagree about other things. Driskell isn’t the answer. He’s just not that good man. An average Dalton day and this offense would have torched the Oakland D. I just don’t think this is even a case of Andy vs AJ either. AJ is better than Driskell. I thought AJ could be a starter in the NFL. Driskell isn’t that guy and I don’t think he ever will be. These 5 games at the end...

I have a pretty good idea of what Driskell is. It’s not like accuracy is something he just struggled with today, he’s never been an accurate guy. From a physical tool standpoint I understand why you want to see what you have in Driskell, but his audition is the end of this year not next year. He’s not the answer. If Andy played today I think the Bengals may have hung 50 on the raiders today. The gap between the two is pretty significant right...

I don’t have an issue with you wanting to move on from Dalton, I just don’t see the point in moving on from Dalton and replacing him with Driskell who at best isn’t going to be better than AD.

As far as the draft goes, obviously I love Haskins, but I don’t want the Bengals to take him. Id love to get Devin White or Jonah Williams but I think our win today will prevent us from snagging either of those guys. If the Bengals wanted to trade back I also really like Noah Fant the TE from Iowa.

Yes Dalton has had games like Driskell had today, but Dalton has also had games where he looks great. Iíve seen nothing from Driskell that says he can have a day like that. I like Driskell a lot, but just as a pretty good backup QB. I donít think heís an NFL starter.

I think we can finally put to rest the idea of Driskel being the guy going forward. Dalton will be the guy for at least one more year regardless of who the coach is.

Yes because Ohio State has a ton of difficulty recruiting kids from Cincinnati. That 90 minute drive is just a little bit outside of OSUs normal recruiting base...

Good business indeed. UC gets a game against Ohio State and gets paid to do it. What’s not to like?

Buying out those games is relatively commonplace across college football though is it not?

It would be a slap in the face if it was another power 5 school. Florida doesn’t need UCF. Florida can and should dictate the terms of the game. It’s no different than Ohio State never playing UC at Nippert. If they ever did play UC in Cincinnati then it would be at PBS.

If they think they can beat Florida then it’s a great business decision.

100%. Donít lie and say no one will play you every year. No, people will play you there just has to be something in it for that other school. What does UF get by playing UCF? Nothing. If they win no one cares, if they lose theyíre a laughing stock. UCF doesnít get to dictate terms.

Then UCF can’t complain about nobody playing them. Florida has to make playing UCF beneficial to them. Florida gets nothing on the field from playing UCF in fact it’s basically a lose lose for Florida on the field. The only way Florida would play UCF is if they were benefiting financially from the deal. Otherwise Florida will use their marquee OOC games against Power 5 schools.

I donít have an issue with UCF turning it down. What I have an issue with is the inevitable story weíll hear that nobody will play them. If you want bigger schools to spend one of their OOC games to play you then you have to compromise. You need the game and they want the revenue. Youíre UCF, you donít get to pretend that youíre on the same level as Florida. If a team offers you a game that can improve your schedule and potentially get you into...

UCF AD: “No one will play us” Also UCF AD: “We feel like we should determine the terms of scheduling these teams”

All the talk about the offenses of the Rams, Chiefs, and Saints but the 4 hottest teams in the league right now all play great defense in the Chargers, Bears, Cowboys, and Texans. It’s going to be a fun end the season to watch.
