We’ll just have to agree to disagree. It’s hard for me to comment on the casual fan side of college football I’m far from a casual fan. But we definitely agree on the last part which is the important part.

Hes a California guy though so that makes total sense. If he knocks off ND this weekend there will be moving trucks with a Trojan sign on the side of them on Sunday.

If you Jeff Brohm isn’t a household name but believe Scott Frost, Urban Meyer, Brian Kelly, and Tom Herman were before they landed their big jobs I’m not sure what to tell you other than I respectfully disagree. Other than maybe Les Miles and Lane Kiffin, which serious candidates for HC vacancies are household names?

I would. No way in hell she gets any votes now. She’s the ultimate pawn. Nobody trusts her and based on these past 2 tribals no one will vote for her.

Im not going to act like some sort of expert on it, but I listen to college football podcasts daily when I work out. In the summertime they have nothing else to talk about besides stuff like coaches who could take over a big job the next year. Brohm was always one of the first names mentioned. He took a team that won 3 games and had the worst talent in Big 10 besides Rutgers and went 7-5 and won a bowl game. He was 100% on the radar. Those...

SLINK would fans in at USC get mad if Brohm came there? I highly disagree. I think USC fans would love the Brohm hire, but I figured I should defer this to the expert.

The irony of ND wearing pinstripes is Brian Kelly is a pretty big Red Sox fan. :lol2:

Oh man that’s a bad take. :lol2: ND should never wear something on their heads that isn’t gold. You want to have special jerseys, cool. You want to put a leprechaun or a shamrock sticker on the helmet, cool. But you can’t be the golden domers without golden domes. Haha

I disagree. Bama losing doesn't change my opinion about them, just makes me think more about Georgia. It takes more than 1 game for me to change my mind on any team much less Alabama.

Bama gets in over Michigan. No doubt about it. I honestly think the committee would debate ND/ Michigan more than Bama/ Michigan.

I don’t think the committee is taking into account what is good for college football. Maybe that’s just the romantic side of me saying that though. I don’t see any circumstance where Bama is not one of the 4 best teams unless they lose to Auburn and Georgia and even then I think Bama has a path to get in.

I can’t simulate Clemson losing in their conference champ game, but I can with Bama by saying Georgia wins out. If Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Ohio State win out 538 says Bama would have a 14% chance to make the playoff. If it’s Michigan it’s an 18% chance. I have no idea how it’s coming to that conclusion. As long as Bama beats The Citadel and Auburn they have a spot in the playoffs locked up. No committee in their right mind...

Yeah you messed something up. Also if you replace Michigan with Ohio State they have a 48% chance to make the playoffs.

I honestly believe West Virginia is better than Oklahoma. Offenses are pretty close but WVU at least has a pulse on defense. Oklahoma is like playing against air. Outside of Ohio State/ Michigan, that matchup on Black Friday in Morgantown is the game I’m most excited about down the stretch.

I’ll preface this by saying I don’t really have an issue with the rankings this week. No teams lost so it makes sense in theory to keep the rankings the same. But when asked why OSU was still at 10 he answered by saying, “they’re not as sharp as they were in the middle of the season.” What the hell is he talking about? What about the middle of OSU’s season is he talking about? Was it the ugly 1 point win over Penn State, the very not sharp wins...

So do you just have a weekly budget and just withdraw that amount once a week and then if you have any other expenditures you make a separate trip? Is it just a personal preference?

In college it’s Ohio State and UK. College is a little different because so many people grow up rooting for one team but attend school elsewhere which was my case. I also agree with JD that the NBA is definitely more of a cheer for players over teams league. The NBA markets this way and there is no team close to me. But outside of these two obvious circumstances, I’m a ride or die guy 1 team guy.

He was that guy before this season is my point. Brohm was one of the first guys mentioned when talking about top coaching candidates.
