  1. Holy Cross won 3 regional titles in a row in the late 90's. That was before realignment when NKY was all one big region.
  2. I agree yellow, I think the goal before half killed any chances Boone had. It was great for Cooper, they started pulling starters after 10 minutes in the second half and had the entire bench in with 20 minutes left, including 3 freshmen who got some valuable playing time, most making their varsity debuts. Good soccer moments for those kids. Looks to be a great matchup Thursday on Cooper's nice, flat and wide pitch!
  3. I believe Combs, the normal HC keeper, was injured and did not play.
  4. Nico did transfer to St. Henry. I believe they are waiting on paperwork to come in for him to be eligible this season.
  5. Scott did not put the game into arbiter. That game is not being played. As far as Scott County goes, there was a mixup with the officials, the game is now being played tomorrow night. This is official word from Cooper coaches, just spoke with one of them.
  6. First off, I don't think the coaching staff has anything to do with it. Mike is only helping out part time. The Cooper coaches are good friends of his, they asked him to help out when he can and that is what he is doing. From what I understand, he was only around in the preseason once in a while and is not at any training during the season because he has his own business to run. I am not sure why Mike helping out some friends of his and staying close to the game he loves is such a big deal! Anyway, I expect the Cooper coaching staff to play with one eye on Thursday. That district is tough and Conner is playing well, that game means way more than tonight that is for sure. Good luck to both teams tonight. If both teams are switched on it would make for a great match.
  7. So anyone know how many goals Wend scored? That kid can play.
  8. I ran into Coach Flesch and Coach Wainscott from Cooper on Saturday night when they got back from coaching the game, along with Coach McDonald who also coached in the game. They said it was great, the game was fun to watch with all of the talent on display, they really enjoyed coaching the game. I think they said the East team that they coached won 5 or 6 to 1 which to me was kind of a suprise. They said all of the players from NKY that were nominated for first or second team were there and that they all played well. They also said the East won the honorable mention game but that only Adam Snow from Cooper was there from NKY. Sounds like NKY represented well, congrats to all of the NKY boys.
  9. Yellow card i agree completely. If parents can't handle the playing time their kid gets then maybe it is time to go play in a rec league. Or,better yet, go coach the team and play your kid for 80 minutes. For Ncc to drop Mike like that is crazy. I know Mike very well, he knows the game better than most people i know. His numbers at ncc speak for themselves. His passion for the game is crazy! When i get together with him all he talks about is soccer and his players. He genuinely cared about all of his players both past and present. I don't think he will have a problem finding another program, i would hate to lose a guy like Mike in Nky soccer. Mike will be a great addition to any team up here, good luck to him.
  10. Red card for Scott. Last defender pulled BG player down. May have been double yellow but could havebeen straight red.
  11. Wow!! BG answers! #5 with a hat trick! 6 to 4!!!! Unreal!!!!
  12. Scott pulls one back, Morgan with a direct kick... 5 to 4!!!
