  1. Quamea Jones, Tyce Daniel, and Quincy Bell for McCracken have been awfully strong in the defensive side. Will Kitchen is their left tackle and has been stellar on the offensive side.
  2. Kurt Barber is the hire. Great guy and great choice. He will do well relating to the players.
  3. As a coach in little league football and with two sons who played in middle school, I will say the biggest problem that I have seen is bad tackling technique from coaches. I used to stress constantly about the need to "see your target" when you tackle and always keep your head up, but many coaches, most who played high school ball "back in the day" just wanted the kids to put their heads down and tackle. Big hits were celebrated much more than just solid tackles with your pads, wrapping up well. It was a constant battle.
  4. Zy'Aire Hughes has committed to UK, but is also visiting Bama and a few other schools. He is a junior. UK commit Zy?Aire Hughes visiting Alabama this weekend | Kentucky Sports Radio -gigiandgogo
  5. I agree about Cash. I think he can be a better quarterback than Corey Robinson from LO. He has better mechanics already and will only get bigger and stronger. He is also a good runner, although they certainly don't want to use that as a sophomore when he can still use some more weight. I'll bet that he ends up 6'4" at least and will probably be 210lbs or so as a senior. That is very good size for a high school QB and with his potential, he should get big college looks.
  6. I think they wanted to use Fish primarily in the first two games against Tilghman and Mayfield because of his experience and then bring Cash along as the primary QB the rest of the season. He has a higher upside as a quarterback and has the potential to be a great, great QB. His mechanics and feel in the pocket are much farther along than a Sophomore should be. Fish is also such a great athlete with the ball in the open field that it gives them a great tandem with Pooh that makes them very difficult to defend and double team. Should be a great season and the next two years too.
