  1. Nice home win against a rival. Thought Ryle would have won by double digits though. Raiders best athlete must of been hurt, sat entire second half? Would be nice to see the offense set some screens, back cuts, anything other than running in a circle. Shooters can’t get open on their own. Hopefully the lack of points from 3, 5 last few games will be a learning experience & find ways to open it up for shooters before tournament. Go Raiders
  2. Hats off to SK. 3-4 point game to start 4th, Ryle staff caught up with watching, no substitutions or quality timeouts to stop the run? Lose by 21. No Participation Awards please. Let’s learn & hopefully stay in games late!
  3. Sounds like the boys club koolaid commenting now. This year Ryle should have been competing with everyone & for sure a winning record. I’ve watched a few games this year and I was shocked to see the BS stuff that is tolerated by a few of Big Macs favs. Oh well no dog in the fight, shame to see this school fighting to see out of the basement.
  4. The quarterback whisperer from Lex-Cath is having to coach now with Morgan, Chism, and others gone. Defense lost coach. Tough to watch, this football and basketball program. Did Ryle sign a new kicker in the off season? Maybe I’ve missed something the last couple years. Same kid could barely reach the ten without a breeze on kickoffs He was consistent on short kicks but a booming leg ?
  5. I know in the wins/losses it’s irrelevant but I’m pretty sure a 1 point loss is competitive and a half dozen 30+ losses are a little hard to get over and pumped up to play. Perhaps some adjustments in scheme on both sides of the ball with the talent or as you said lack of talent may put a little more competitive team on the floor? Ryle couldn’t have written the tournament schedule themselves and been provided a better opportunity to make it to regional finals. Your right nobody thought this team would be playing at the end of February but good for the boys. Good luck
  6. Here’s your positive participation trophy, 2 quality wins against Boone. Two of the most fun games I’ve watched in the last 10+ at Ryle. I think Boone beat Cooper once this year? Even if Cooper wasn’t at 100% are they seriously a 50 point win over Ryle. No 6A school should be thumped that often in your own backyard. Just haven’t figured out how we can beat a Boone team twice and then get that result. Yes Cooper is that good and loaded with talent, they could’ve scored 100 if they wanted. Have seen some good things from young kids last few games at Ryle & hopefully it builds some momentum into offseason?
  7. Hope the Tarvin boy is ok. Yikes, looks like Cooper coach thoroughly enjoys laying it on Mcfarland. Boys seem to play like they were supposed to get drubbed. At some point would’ve been nice to see them say enough & get physical & compete. There’s been entirely to many 30+ point beatings. Maybe the rumored changes will show something different next season.
  8. Definitely nice game for Juggs. Post game news conference leaks rumors of big changes coming in offensive & defensive strategy for next season at Ryle. Stay tuned
  9. Awful, Ryle doesn’t press, zone was slow & lazy, they went to basket at will, out hustled, rebounded...... same old! Finally let kids attack the rim & be aggressive & made 4th fun to watch, too little too late. Come on Spring
  10. Wow, interesting roster, most on it should be playing at there age group or bench contributors on JV this year at best. Watch that list in a competitive varsity game, physically & mentally overwhelmed. Should be entertaining to watch who’s in Mcfarland’s ear & gets on the court to finish a long season.
  11. JV could have a pretty solid record with some coaching. Coaching staff top to bottom of BFFs , philosophy has really shined. You expect a little struggle with no seniors but this is just a bad product.
  12. Absolutely brutal to watch. Has this offensive scheme ever produced? Kids stand around flat footed waiting for the ball, coach has center shooting 3's, curious if he has made a shot in the paint. Press break..... Varsity has lost several games by 30+. Maybe the MAFIA can help him see what the rest of us are watching and maybe adapt to whatever he has for talent.
  13. Gotcha, probably gonna offend some one but IMO the major factors on CE were there. CE has more talent and a high energy coach, should go far in end of season tourney. Good luck
  14. 8th Ockerman beat CE in there first game, was a great game. Then beat Beechwood in there 2nd game, all players were present to my knowledge for all squads on those days. Since a rough start at 0-2 after Highlands and Beechwood losses, Ockerman has put together a nice run despite a coach that is just there? wins against SV, Conner, CE, and Beechwood with a one point loss to CE in there. Keep grinding Hawks, just wanted to give a shout out.
