  5. Sept 8th Hopkinsville HS hosts Clarksville HS (TN) renewing an old rivalry.
  6. And how has that worked out for them? Not being mean, but Henderson hasn't done a whole lot on the football front for being one of the largest schools in the state. There is definitely a push from the top to consolidate County and Hoptown, and it looks like it will definitely happen. Mostly for academic, financial, and equity reasons. I don't think the locals should be expecting championships in 6A, that's a whole different ball game than 4 and 5A.
  7. Hoptown's in a tough position here. There is a lot of uncertainty as to what is going to happen with the consolidation of CCHS and HHS. Coach Babb, a standout player back in the day at CCHS, was the long time assistant head coach for Tim Hayworth. The last four years (before Babb took the head girls job) they went 123-17, four straight regional championships, three final fours, and a state title game. Doesn't mean he'll have anywhere near that much success, but he's been part of a very successful culture at HHS.

  15. I would add Micah Johnson (Ft Campbell, 2005) to that list, played some fullback, but he made his bones playing linebacker and was outstanding. Still a couple of defensive players out of 33 isn't many.
