  1. Where the play happened, I'd like to see the baseline official's call overrule since it is technically his call. Play originated right in front of him. To me, he had the best angle.
  2. This says players can't enter the semicircle area in the lane? Is that even painted on most high school courts?
  3. Anyone know the time for the Danville-Somerset game tomorrow night and where it will be played?
  4. 7 - Eastern 5 - Bardstown 3 - Central Hardin 2 - Owen County 1 - Anderson County TB - Bardstown
  5. After Joe B Hall Classic got canceled, Trinity has picked up a home game vs Doss tonight at 7:30. Top 5 matchup. Should be a good one.
  6. Wright played. Don't know much about Doss but they played pretty good defense whole game.
  7. I think it just means that Warren Central is preseason top 20. Notice all the others are "matchups" as opposed to the Moore game.
  8. Started at the freshmen and JV level as a 6th grader. Could really be something special as hard as he works. Good handles, ULTRA QUICK, goes to the basket strong and can finish (suprisingly good finisher for his size), and can also shoot it pretty well too.
  9. Obviously, I would have scouted the team so thoroughly, I'd probably know what every player eats for breakfast :-) That said, my gameplan (because I like to play straight up man-to-man) would be to work on getting the ball out of the "primary ball handler"'s hands (whoever that may be in game 1) and not letting them get it back. This would help in the regional game when the gameplan would clearly be: Make somebody other than the PG beat you. Then I would use a quicker player to front the post and exaggerate weak side help on the post player to help deny him touches. If a team has two dominant players, the gameplan is to make the other 13 guys on the roster do something they may or may not be able to do. I've never liked the idea of pressing a team with a really good point guard for 1 reason: Most "really good" point guards find open players and don't get flustered when facing a trap; this allows the other team to slice and dice your press. Play straight up and try to make others beat you. On offense, I'd put a lineup on the floor requiring the post player to play on-ball perimeter defense on my wings. Who knows? Maybe he'll get in foul trouble early and open up the paint some more.
  10. Size of the school will matter. If it's a small A or AA school, shouldn't be too bad. If it's a 4A or 5A and they literally halve the student population, that could cause some problems...at least for football. So long as Billy Hicks is their basketball coach, they'll get transfers in and keep winning. This is more of a football issue. Also, I would think that most kids would want to go to the newer school. Seems to be what's happened in Shelby County once Collins opened.
