Kara Decker Small list of 2017 that are great ball players
  2. Scott Co vs Woodford Co A fantastic game where Scott Co won 4-1 over the Yellow jackets. Woodford was the home team. Jesse Tucker, Hannah Davis and Princess Valencia started out hitting and scoring 2 runs in the first inning. Halie Fain, Hannah Davis and Princess Valencia all had hits in the 3rd inning to make the score 4-0. Woodford's lone run was a nicely placed home run over left field fence. Pitching: Kennedy Sullivan pitched fantastic by having 12 strike outs through out the game. Only allowing a couple of hits. Bethany Todd started for WC, and came out in the 4th inning where Caitlyn Karo came in and finished for WC and kept SC from scoring.
  3. To the Championship game... Woodford wins over Madison Central 3-0 Scott Co wins over Madison Southern 3-0 Woodford Co vs Scott Co...tonight at 7:00 at Madison Central
  4. 1st round: Madison Central wins 7-0 over Lafayette Woodford Co wins 7-0 over Henry Clay Scott Co wins 7-0 over Western Hills Madison Southern wins 6-3 over Dunbar
  5. The great thing about softball...On any given day, it's anyone's ball game. All of the top 25 teams are very good and on any given day they are GREAT. R1: McCracken--Still looking good with only 1 loss R2: MNH--Looking good with giving McCracken that loss R3: O'Cathlic--Have enough to do it R4: Warren East--toss up with South Warren, but I think East will get it R5: Central Hardin--They can play with the best of them. R6: Bullitt East-They are looking very tough. Great players/pitching R7: Male--They always find a way R8: Collins--Unless Anderson Co number 1 pitcher is healthy, I'm going Collins R9: Highlands--I think the small school can bring it. If they have a full squad, I'd love to see them work it. R10: Harrison or Bourbon on this one. Haven't seen either play R11: Scott Co. -- Woodford has great players, but all of Scott Co's infield are State Champions including a couple in the outfield. They were young then, now seasoned. R12: E Jessamine--They have a tough little pitcher. Great hitters!! R13: N Laurel--Don't know much about this region. R14: Estill or Powell --I think Estill will out do Powell, but could be close. R15: Johnson Central--I don't know much on this region either. R16: East Carter--I think pitching will get them there

  7. It was a great weekend of ball. The Scott Co vs Male game was great. Scott Co went up on Male 6-3, and in the 7th Male came back on them to take the lead 8-6. Scott Co was the home team and came out hitting the ball. Bases loaded, Kennedy Sullivan hit a hard hit ball up the middle and CF let it go by her so SC won 9-8. Scott Co vs McCracken...A few injuries hit SC. Ison, the catcher took a knee in her upper thigh by a runner going home. And Ricketts, the second baseman, out due to back spasms. Moving a few girls around, they just couldn't do much against McCracken. Lost 5-1 Male vs McCracken...I saw most of this game. McCracken just was hitting and running the bases very well. Not sure what happened (mouth I think) got Bloomer in trouble and he was asked to coach from the dug out during the 5th or 6th inning. Male vs Anderson Co...very close game. 1-0 with male winning. Great defense by both teams, no one could really get the upper hand. this was a pretty good weekend for watching ball. Very enjoyable. And yes, Anderson did have some players down. One of their pitchers didn't pitch, Ally, she is out for a few more weeks.
  8. Scott County is hosting a triangle this weekend with McCracken, Male & Anderson Co. 15th: Scott Co vs Anderson Co 6:00 pm 16th: Scott Co vs Male 8:00 am 16th: Scott Co vs McCracken 10:00 am 16th: Anderson Co vs Male 12:00 16th: Anderson Co vs McCracken 2:00 16th: McCracken vs Male 4:00 This should be a great day for softball...Any predictions??
  9. Pitcher Kennedy Sullivan is a Sophomore and has pitched great. She went 10 inning against McCracken Co and pitching was fantastic! Cece Wittry, a Junior, has also pitched some good quality games including the Woodford Co game. Scott Co also have a couple other Sophomores that are getting looks for D1 schools. Princess Valencia is a Sophomore and plays catcher/OF is a beast at hitting right now. Woodford Co is Scott Co's biggest competition in 11th Region. These two schools are power houses this year and it's a shame that both can't go to state. Woodford has great pitching with Caitlyn Karo & Bethany Todd. They have several great players that can crush the ball. Plus have 3 other D1 players that are all quality players: Lindsay Anderson, Katelyn Fergison, Ariel Daily. Tons of great players in the 11th Region!!
  10. Sam Smith: Bellarmine Taylor Ricketts & Jess Tucker: SIU Kamry Wells: Asbury Haley Osborne: UPike Jordan Ison: Campbellsville Hannah Davis: Marshall Halie Fain: Univ Tenn-Martin Sydney Motell: Transy
  11. Scott Co is playing a round robin in Scott Co next weekend against McCracken, Male and Anderson Co. But, both teams are very tough teams and pitching is pretty good. Scott Co played E Jess and it was a really good game with Scott Co winning 3-2. A lot of solid players on both sides. Scott Co has D1, D2 and NAIA. I think E Jess is about the same.
  12. A great game...WC went ahead in the first few innings 4-0, Scott Co starting coming back. It was 4-2 WC after 3 innings. After the 4th inning, it was tied 4-4. Each team hit the ball well. WC had 3 HR's in this game, but SC came through with several doubles. The top of the 6th, SC was on top 7-4. At the end of the game it was 7-6 SC. This was a true game of two top 10 teams. Huge crowd for this game! I don't think anyone was disappointed.
  13. This was one of the best games/match ups of the year. Both teams played great and they both came out hitting!
