  1. Don't forget CC Camels starter Cameron Edwards who is 2-5 but has a 2.9 ERA with 30 K's only 10 BB and a 1.26 WHIP. With starts against all top teams with the exception of one,and no run support, he is the hard luck starter on the staff. Not a POY candidate, however a very good lefty
  2. Went to this on to see this one after Campbell County's upset of Cov Cath. The Camels hit well, but made around 8 errors. Very sloppy fielding today. Highlands hit the ball well and made the most of their opportunities. Was really expecting a closer game.
  3. I heard Metz (Campbell Co) changed his mind and is now going to Cincinnati Christian???
  4. If you look, the article is alphabetical by school. Slusher is a very good player and will be a steal for someone and Fieger is an excellent pitcher. Both could be on that list. With that being said, I am sure a lot of very good players were left off this list probably due to space limitations. To me it looks like they were trying to highlight a player from each school. I have seen probably more than half of these boys play and all are deserving, but so were some others, this area is loaded with talent! So......Congratulations to all the guys on the list ! Well done fellas!
  5. The team lacked in hitting last year. Edwards hurt his wrist in the first game and never got right at the plate. Eblin did not come close to being the hitter he was the year before. And the rest of the team was worried about their own stats. If they will play for each other it will be interesting. They also have a very good young catcher in the wings who could give Metz a run for his money. I watched the FB championship game against Highlands and CC beat them with 8 guys. Highlands did give them an outfielder. Pretty strong outing by both CC pitchers. I believe they have 2 commits with Eblin going to Kentucky Wesleyan and Edwards to Spalding University.
  6. Reynolds is a very good catcher, advanced for his age. His ability to hit varsity pitching is in question. He made one varsity start to my knowledge when Metz was late getting to the field on time before a game and was benched. I hope he gets a chance, by the time he is a senior he could be very very good.
  7. Campbell County has entire starting line up returning. Four starting pitchers returning (Becker, Eblin, Edwards, and Reynolds). Some key players had early injuries and several guys came up and played well. If they can work a good team chemistry, it should be interesting to watch.
  8. Campbell County after winning District last year and being regional runner up. Two top returning hitters never produced. One dad told me one kid hurt his wrist in the first game and missed several games and struggled after. They lost a lot of pitching from last year for sure. No one really stepped up and took the place of Walsh or Franzen. (Two tough guys to replace.) To the point that pitching needs to be developed to be a powerhouse program or you can hope that a couple good guys fall into your program and you can ride them for a year or two.
  9. Dawson Hogan from Campbell County. Heck of a hitter.
  10. Very fun game to watch. Both starting pitchers pitched very well. (Combs Beechwood and Eblin CC) Tie game until sixth inning when a Campbell County error that would have been the third out cost them. Game was much better than the score showed. Great job to both teams for playing a very enjoyable game.
  11. Spartan I didn't need to do math. Those numbers came direct from the game changer baseball web page scored by Campbell County coaches. You talk like you were at the game as was I , so are you a coach at Beechwood and the books don't match or a math tudor looking for work? (not being mean just a fun jab!)
  12. You are correct. Schweitzer is very aware of what these kids are capable of. They throw bull pen regularly and have all been doing so since conditioning. My son pitches for Campbell County and threw 78 pitches, the most he has ever thrown in one game and Schweitzer knew when he was done. Yes it was cold, but Wlash was in a groove and kept his arm warm between innings. Walsh will play at the next level and trust me, Schweitzer isn't going to jeopardize that for another win on his coaching record. If there is one coach you can trust with your kids arm and insuring proper mechanics and teaching its him.
  13. Walsh threw 112 pitches Huesman threw 14 Game total was 126 pitches
