Just find Central's defensive stats off the charts. Subtract 3 6A teams (Ballard, PRP, and St. X), Central has allowed a total of 50 points against non-6A teams in ten games. That is an average of less than a score including 5 shutouts and the running clock on Belfry. Impressive is an understatement.

Answered Raceland/Pikeville because it has the potential to be a great game and only 70 miles away. Everything else is too far for old man to make late drive back. All other games will be followed on BGP. Hope game threads keep us current.

Weather? Grass field? Long bus ride? Nobody bad this deep in playoffs. I would forecast a 3 TD win and be very happy with just a W and no injuries.

Got to admit, I have not seen them this year. Watched twice last year and was very impressed with their size, how hard they hit and how tough they were defensively. Believe this coaching staff will get them over the hump. Homefield advantage with no tough bus ride will make a difference this time. With Pikeville not turning in stats to KHSAA, it is hard to know much about this "ghost" team.

Golly, read the article. Never saw him say they couldn't run. Suggest Rocks should proudly take this well earned victory.

Have no clue where you heard that. I think you are mistaken, as most of us know everybody can run against SK. Had Scott's Chisolm get 449 by himself.

Scott's Wing-T rushing offense is deceptive, hard hitting and will absolutely lull DBs into cheating up to defend only shockingly find themselves flat footed as their WRs sprint past them for a TD throw over the top. Only throw about 6-7 times per game with 70% completions for 27 yards per catch and nearly 1 of every 3 passes completed for TDs. Crazy passing efficiency.

Don't forget that one cause of blowouts can be that at this stage the teams that fall behind are playing with nothing to lose by trying desperate measures to get back in the game. A gamble here that backfires, a gimmick play that blows up, an all-in pass rush that leaves an uncovered receiver, etc. can all implode leading to repetitive desperate calls and an avalanche of points. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I don't necessarily conclude...

Long drive....weather....field conditions (grass? turf?). Lots of external factors could make this latecoming Campbellsville team more of a challenge than some anticipate. Still see Tigers winning convincingly and joining Raceland at Kroger Field.

Wing T offense will get you everytime. If you haven't seen it much it will make you look confused and inept. McKee's teams run it superbly. I think Scott wins this match-up in a hardfought, high scoring barnburner. 38-34

Very small shareholder here, but I must have received 5/6 solicitations requesting my proxy to vote for him. Each contained negative communications of underperformance and plans to increase profits by slashing costs. Readers/shareholders could have easily been confused by the proxy solicitations as to whether you were supporting management or him. Sure the big shareholders were careful not to be confused. IMO, this is probably not good for...

Hate the talk..."let's not forget they are teenagers". Absolutely have disdain for Lavar Ball's dismissive.."it's no big deal". This was an embarrassment for the school, the program, the country, and it should be for the player's families. Stealing while on a goodwill, international trip. Stupid doesn't do these criminal actions justice. Just as UNC forfeited its integrity in defeating the NCAA, will UCLA forfeit its' in not handing out...

Generaldowns, see Post#17. You and I are seeing, smelling, and feeling the potential for the same thing. Golly, I sure hope we are wrong. Coach Rash will not allow the Tigers to overlook KCD like so many posters are on this thread. Go Tigers.

You know what you say, MCPapa makes a lot of sense. I am curious if most #1 seeds would prefer the Bye, or just the two team foremat and shorten the season a full week? In theory the Bye week gives a team a week to get healthy; but, the routine the high schoolers is completely disrupted. Always seem to hear about the rustiness of the NFL teams after their Bye week.

Thank you to ThrowItDeep for your clear and in-the-trenches perspective. Agree with you 100% and hope the KHSAA addresses it with a multi-step polling process. First step: Would you consider a Change versus No Change, with clarity in advance that the follow-up polls will give multiple options should change appear to be desired. There might be multiple polls to follow as you offer and eliminate the vaious change options until a consensus is...

I honestly believe both of these calls were unjustified and 1) was because it was Tez. Absolutely nothing there. 2). Was nothing again, and it appeared the penalty was being initiated by the official's actions. Kind of entrampment...I will throw my shoulder in there and hope he touches me in reaction. Appears NFL is coming after Tez for his previous stupidity and insurrections; but, these calls today were absurd in the game of football. ...

Totally a function of the tone of the announcement. If it is done in the same celebratory tone as ..."First down, Kentucky!" and that would perhaps be..."Another Trinity running clock!!!!".....Than I think one could feel justifiably belittled at the expense of an announcers blustering ego. However, I do think the fans should be told something like..."there will be a running clock from this point forward".

Rumor has it, Marvin Lewis would be approached if he would bring his entire staff. Go-Fund-Me page to facilitate the move set up by Bengal fans is currently up to $17million. Certainly hope the rumors are true.

I am probably more concerned about this game than most Tiger fans. Defensive takeaway stats are pretty impressive with 16 interceptions and 17 fumble recoveries. Total offense stats more than double their opponents, with both a proficient running and passing game. Large margin of victory averaging over 25 per game. This could be more of a battle than any of us would like.

Maybe even a nice raise for all the staff. Oh, my! Coaching economics has gone beserko! While the TV deals are rolling, why not lower ticket prices so everyday common man can attend? Or, contribute the excess millions to the general fund to lower tuition?

Passive D game plan left at Kroger Field. Stand, lien, and read totally desrted. Thank you Defensive staff. You don't have the SEC manpower to not have a competitive braintrust from the booth to the field. Golly, we looked in defensive control.

Have seen this call you are describing so many times this year. What we use to love..."a clean crack-back" we would rewind multiple times to show our guys how it was to be done, bragging about the young man's technique and execution. The rule change is amazing to me..."and isn't there some language that the blocker can execute this block if he leads with his hands?" Asking you guys in the trenches.

Just don't understand BW blowing the whistle on himself with the media. If you are going to be so upset with the KHSAA/bye week issue that you and the OC coach both agreed to not share film with anybody (basically hoping to shutout SO from any access) then you both had to recognize the risk of making yourself look unprofessional and petty. Can concur that many might do it, but got to believe few would announce it to the world via the media. ...
