Greyhounds are well on their way to being the dominant Hounds of the 70's once again.

Looks to me like they moved the benches away from scorer's table to create more $5,000 seats. Wonder how the teams and coaches like this.

Those are stats from OKC's team stat page. Was shocked when I saw it about two hours ago. I thought they were for the season, but you are correct...post season only through 3 games #s .

What do you call a player that takes 35% of his team's shots throughout a season, while shooting only 37% from the floor, and a paltry 22% on 3s? We use to call that guy a Gunner and not the NBA's MVP. His 4-18 in 4th quarter showed me what I have felt for some time......great athlete that perhaps puts hero status ahead of good decision making.

I hate this award being decided now. The entire (I say entire) regular season is simply a pre-cursor to the playoffs. It is all about strategic positioning with some teams playing for seeding while others non-play for draft position. To name an award, MVP, on this part of the body of work just seems premature to me. Let's deal with this award when the full body of work is over and can more accurately be put in complete context.

The part about the ball going backwards is 100% true. 1st round of year, second swing of season from middle of fairway...topped it....hit mud plug and backed up. Sweet beginning to the season.

Could not feel good about voting today. The regular season is nothing more than preparing for the playoffs, or non-playing for the draft. When the full body of work is over, I think the time to vote has arrived.

Probably when it migrated from a full season award to just a regular season award. So the frontrunner this year is Westbrook who led his team to the 10th best record for the season (6th seed in West) and accomplished the first season avg a triple/double in 50 years....of which the last time it was done didn't earn Oscar any better than a 3rd place MVP finish. IMO this award should be voted on after the playoffs and the full body of work is in....

Haven't read this whole thread, so pardon me if this is a repeat, but Oscar finished third the year of his triple-double. Wilt finished 2nd while leading the league in points (some ghastly # like 55+ per game) and rebounds with a crazy 28+ per game. The MVP that year was Bill Russell who led the Celtics to another NBA title with his vintage D and strong rebounding. He was not a stat stuffer, but a champion. This award has migrated totally...

Got to confess, had only seen Bracken's baseball field in the dormant football season. So went last night because of the pictures previously posted, thought it deserved a better evaluation if I wanted to accurately post an opinion. I concur the field itself is outstanding and have elevated it to an overall solid 8. Infield is a 10 and truly special. Outfield is right there with an 8, and is an immaculately maintained playing surface with a...

Not top 10 in 2016; but, could be there this year for sure. The strides the Bears made under Coach Sizemore were quantum. Looks to me like this hire has positioned them to continue the programs upward momentum. Quality programs are programs that have enough depth to have real competition at key positions. If Bracken's special teams (namely kicking) and passing game can consistently complement the effective ground and pound and smashmouth...

Sounds like an experienced, quality hire. In looking at Amelia's roster it appears he might be bringing a son that ought to be an impact player. At 6'0" and 186 lbs it appears he goes both ways at HB and LB, while also doing a little backup quarterbacking. Always good to have a coach's son playing a key role.

Beechwood's Clay Trusty, sophomore, allows a first pinch monster HR by Dayton's Seth Chinn and then shuts them down without another hit thru 4. I left as Dayton was batting in the top of 5th, so I don't know if Trusty was able to complete the one hitter.

Nice pics Brooksville. Notice those flags flying full bore outward to left. Between short left porch and that perpetual wind, that day had to be a flyball pitchers nightmare. Do not like size nor storage (?) obstructions in dugouts; but, do agree infield is above high school norm.

Infield, stands, dugouts, concessions, unfortunate short fences, and perpetual winds on the ridge that can affect anything in the air. Got to agree though, if your perspective is predominantly 10th Region oriented then BC is not worse than most.

Sorry to disagree, Brooksville. But, I would rate BC's facility no higher than a 4 on a 10 scale.

I can tell you I coached against the Breds there in 1971, so it is at least 46 years old (and I would bet much older than that). Coach Don Snopek really started that program rolling and one of his early best players was his future brother-in-law and now 1,000+ wins Coach Mac Whitaker.

Having coached against Steve and fortunately got to know him personally, he was a stellar young man and outstanding football player. Back in those days, Coach Homer Goins had a slew of great teams with a cadre of players that were taught the game right. Steve Parker might have been the best of the best.

Pretty embarrassing article on USA Today website of the ugly posts on Higgins business Facebook ratings by Ky fans. The rantings were beyond ugly and out of line. I might have not embraced his calls, but IMO the ethical line has been crossed by trashing a guys business ratings because you don't agree with his calls.

Cannot argue with your point at all! Candidly, we will see him as a 4 in the NBA, as he matures and develops his shot. Just don't see him becoming a rim protector or board banger without his motor getting out of idle. In fairness, 34 minutes wore him down pretty heavily.

I know that this is an opinion shared by very few, but I am glad to see Bam leaving. Our beast has a four cylinder engine that stands idleing at the elbow watching teammates shots rebounded by opponents. A warrior doesn't play 34 minutes and get a weak two fouls while the opponents are continually ripping rebound after rebound off the glass. Are his arms short and/or hands small? Just cannot imagine being that tall and strong and continually...

I will repeat. Bam needs to engage. He is not mentally or physically in this game. Keep going to him and the results are he avoids contact on the shot instead of going up strong. We shoot from outside and he starts drifting away from the goal. Where is he???? Better engage! Or this game is not going to end well.
