  1. The Noah I have seen over these three games has been the strongest player on the floor each game and probably the smartest. I might question his jumping ability (not sure); but he consistently gets himself in position for rebounds. He would be a pure delight for any college coach to have for four years.
  2. Proud of Camels. They did not lose this game…..Harlan Co. won it. There is a big difference. 48 point performance by Noah was epic or maybe heroic is the better word.
  3. Sure hoping the young man is sound. Newport will need him to make a run.
  4. Castle for PCC had 14 at the half and his Uncle’s defense for Magoffin shut him down completely in the 2nd half. Could be mistaken but I can’t remember him even getting a shot in the 2nd. Blood is thick, but not thicker then a Sweet 16 victory.
  5. Granted I watched the game on NFHS so unable to see the attitude issues you did. Can you be more specific about what you saw.
  6. Guess I am so late to this thread that this will not be read, but THREE 7 footers in the paint that combined only committed 2 personal fouls against a team that had a zillion points in the paint! UNFORGIVABLE. Kenny Payne where are you?
  7. Sitting here in Fla with a wife of 56 years and HC alumni’s that isn’t very happy. CC either did an unbelievable D job on Custard (7 pts in reg and 7 in OT) or he was physically ill. Just a great CC win over a determined HC team that came from 12 back only to lose in OT. Go CC, Newport going to be a tough draw at Rupp.
  8. Are Quad wins based on current ratings (which makes no sense) or the ratings on the date you played them?
  9. Afraid that 30+ prediction for Custard comes true. Harrison has just enough complimentary players for HC to advance.
  10. Have been super high on Newport for two years. Saw them twice in person and multiple times on webcasts. In Florida for 3 months or I would be in attendance for both semis and finals. Saw Cooper play two games without top two players and was really impressed with Sully’s team intensity, physical game, and overall D. They may be the best team in Ky now that they are 100% healthy. Cooper wins it all.
  11. Finals: Campbell Co. vs Harrison Co.
  12. To your point, prior to losing their senior 2nd leading scorer Conner Snapp to injury this Mason/Augusta matchup looked like a real competitive game. Anyone know the prospects of his recovery in time for the Tuesday night tip-off.
  13. I was originally shocked when I saw the 2023 schedule starting with an out of state team. Knowing a little about RPI, I thought this game was a mistake that might dictate that long journey to War Memorial. Afraid it did and may have been the difference that got a great Mayfield team to win the championship. Bring the Cardinals to Ft. Mitchell after that 5+ hour bus ride and the script might have flipped. So glad to see the schedule change for next year. With 5 district games there is zero room for out of state blows to the RPI.
  14. Just noticed only 4 teams in the 10th have winning records. Got to be one of the weakest years this region has had. Augusta Panthers had a nice win tonight over Gallatin 75-70 while playing only 5 the entire game. Sure looks like the loss of Snapp is going to strain this thin squad come tourney demands.
  15. Am I mistaken, or are those sideline security guys jumping between players to stop any chippiness? I have never seen this before.
