  1. Everyone has their own opinions, and rightfully so. But this is an 8th grader, who played varsity basketball. It wouldn't be as big of a deal if he was an 8th grader who played middle school basketball, or just freshman basketball at that. To each his own though. I think some will see this as a trend though with GRC's head coach. Left Lawrence Co to go to Mercer Co and had a major transfer come in there. Now the trend has continued going to GRC. Just my two cents however. IMO, why can't places win with what they have? Does it really mean as much if it isn't home grown talent that helps you achieve success?
  2. Believe he's somewhere between 2,300/2,400 for his career currently.
  3. Been a joy to watch the last several years, congrats Jake! Is this Scott's first POY/Mr. Basketball Candidate?
  4. Arguably one of Kentucky's all time great's to lace them up in high school.
  5. Saw on twitter this morning that 2017 Scott High School guard Jake Ohmer has committed to University of the Cumberlands on a full ride for basketball. Congrats Jake!
  6. Bracken. Mason, St. Pat, Augusta all voted to hold the district tournament at Mason Co '18-'21
  7. Believe Scott beat Highlands 41-38 last Saturday, and Boone Co this Wednesday 52-39 to advance to the final four. They await the winner of Cooper/Cov Cath.
  8. Saw on twitter that Scott is offering their student's free entrance to the game with school identification card/wearing blue. Nice to see the athletic department do something like this for the student body. :thumb:
  9. So winning games they should? Seems like the Eagles have struggled with that in years past, so good to see them taking the right direction early on in the season. Take away Manuals record, and Sheldon Clark/Muhlenburg Co who are top teams in their regions are a combined 16-10. Solid showing for the Eagles. I do agree though, the Eagles will have to defend if they want to compete come tournament time.
