  1. Knott played one of their better ball games last night. Isaac Caudill has had to gain experience at the point rather than playing his preferred position, shooting guard. I didn't see any stats but I am sure he had a double double. The Couch twins played an excellent energetic defensive game. Hofsess and Slone played a solid game. Two other players contribute on a regular basis, McGuire and Napier. Last night Coach King went with his experienced players in the second half and they played really well. I was really surprised with the size of the crowd since the girls started at 3 and the boys at 5. It wasn't so much that Cordia played bad, Knott just had so much more experience.
  2. My top 5 in the region are: Isaac Caudill - Knott County Central Caleb Bonny - Estill County Austin Bennett - Buckhorn Oumar Keita - Cordia Kareem McDonald - Cordia I find a bigger disagreement with the top teams. Knott is the one team that has more question marks and more answers than any other team. When they played Harlan County in the summer, a team that really likes to mix it up, they showed that they are really soft. On the other hand, Jones brings a physical game that is rare in high school basketball. Can Isaac play the point? Knott may have to play a lot of zone which is top compatible with the run up and down the floor style they like to play. The Couch twins have the potential to move to another level, but will they. Hofsess is back, and so is Hammond. Knott has a lot of bodies which is unusual, something they didn't have any of the past 5 seasons.
  3. Johnson is a fine young man who now works in the Central Office. If he is smart he'll forget basketball and remember that the one thing that will get you into trouble quicker than anything is PT.
  4. Isaac averaged 15.7 points per game while shooting 51 percent from the field and 80 percent from the FT line.
  5. Senior Isaac Caudill has come a long way in four years. I look forward to watching him lead the Patriots to another 14th Region Championship. College coaches, get a look at this kid. He can do it all.
  6. The football team will continue to improve.
  7. Perry Central is going to be a team to watch. It will be interesting to watch their development. They are definitely on the right track right now. The two big kids that came from June Buchanan are starting to make a difference. Team chemistry will determine their fate, in my opinion. The point guard position is my biggest ?
  8. The game was actually played at Knott Central. Cordia is to be congratulated on getting tonight's victory. Their crowd seemed to be very happy. They played hard as did Knott. The game went to overtime and the game was very exciting. First really exciting game I have seen in this district this year. I believe the district is now tied between Knott & Cordia.
  9. No credibility at all, Catholic loses to Trinity, Trinity goes to the Arby's Classic and wins the whole thing and Trinity is 2 and Catholic 1. Get real.

  11. I was at the game last night. Trinity is very talented. #13 and #31 are really athletic while #34 is a cold dead shooter. Don't ever think about leaving him. Trinity committed a lot of silly fouls. The one thing that did disappoint me about Trinity is they gave up a lot of in close baskets to Oak Ridge. It will be a whale of a game between Buford and Trinity. I didn't stay for the two games later in the evening. One note on the earlier game where Buford defeated Wayne. Wayne never played with composure and often times complained about every call made by the referees. I really believed Wayne brought some close calls to the Buford side because of the poor attitude of Wayne. Smith is a really talented athlete for Wayne. I sure hope KY is able to get him to play football.
  12. Can someone tell me where this game is played tonight?
