  1. No. Reread. I said that’s a possibility. Didn’t say they don’t pay attention That’s a big difference
  2. Did I question the coaches ability outright? I said ..... or Point being is, they don’t want to or are unable to get it to the big. Which is it? I’m saying he is a d-1 big so I def would want him to get the ball. If they want to get him the ball then the guards aren’t getting the job done. If he isnt able to hold his post position, then he isn’t getting the job done. Now is when the coaches perfect this because come post season play you hope all this is worked out If I were going to question the coaches success then I will question whether or not they have it worked out by post season. I haven’t seen to much post season success from sk the past..... oh maybe 8 to 10 years. Just sayin
  3. How can the guards score if they pass the ball to the big? I have noticed multiple times the guards just stare at the big kid when he is posted. I really don’t blame the guards though, that’s 100% on the coaches. There are 4 or 5 sitting on the bench and none of them correct their guards. That tells me a few things. 1. Coaches don’t pay attention or 2. They don’t trust their big or 3 They want the guards to have the ball Either way, if I have a d-1 big he is getting the ball
  4. I didn’t see them play man one possession this game. Unless i fell asleep somewhere along the line. 2-3 zone I agree regarding their makeup. The earlier game I watched them I thought they would give sk fits with their preassure but they didn’t really play man this game However their zone was effective as they were really out in the passing lanes. Sk’s young guard/ forward must of had 10 balls deflected and I thought that had a huge impact on the game. Why sk did not adjust is beyond me
  5. I just didn’t see him dominat the way I thought he should. Kid was posted multiple times and sk guards simply don’t want to pass the ball or they are selfish and want to shoot. The cntr for sk should have touched the ball every possession for sk He could simply just turn and shoot but you can’t if you don’t get the ball I guess he can’t So maybe he wasn’t as effective because of sk game plan or guards unwilling to give it up. It’s shoot first mentality when you have a huge weapon in the post give him the ball. If he can’t finish over s 6’ kid then get him off the floor
  6. I really don’t want to pile on but about the losing one game comment. But their isn’t a really impressive resume for sk over the years. By that I mean post season success My question is how a coach gets caught up on certain players ( and no sour grapes because I have no kid that played) but one in particular for sk really struggled yet sk stayed with him the entire game. I think their are kids on that bench that maybe could have helped out a little more. The youth movement at sk seems to be a constant thing and yet they can’t seem to figure out why they can’t win the big games Scott did an excellent job and their coach was very patient with his game plan. I’m curious how sk would have handled their preassure but didn’t see Scott man up all night
  7. Did you see the scores in the Kentucky football playoffs this year? Even in the final four and championship games? That tells me the system is to diluted and you need restrict it. Not everyone is a winner and nor should everyone qualify for the playoff Back to original topic. You need to fix the issue and stop bandaids. The real question for me is the JCPS is one entity, so why do some schools focus on bringing these kids in house while others seem to not care? I think the superintendent or powers that Be need to ask themselves that question, find the answer and address it
  8. Your crazy! I’ve only watched Scott at the Sorrell scrimmage and liked a lot of what I saw and some things that are head scratchers. But it was a preseason scrimmage so will see how things turn out. They have a few older players that are very good but they seemed to try and force some younger players into the lineup and those kids didn’t look ready from a physical standpoint. That might burn Scott this year as it has SK at times in the past I’m not sure Scott is good enough or deep enough to overcome I don’t see them play alot but will try to get to regular season game early this year to see how they look. Curious how the coaches handle post Jake as well.
  9. I’m picking Mason County as there guard play will be way to strong for SK SK will have to sit in a zone as there man defense is a lot to be desired and Mason will have a lot of open looks from 3 point land
  10. In this case, the official was talking to the mason player. The official made several gestures as if to calm down but the mason player was yelling the entire time and became more and more animated. He eventually was given a technical. In my opinion, if the player was quiet and walked away you would have never heard of this issue. After the "t" was given. It appeared to me that the ref turned to walk to the scorers table but the mason player ran in front of the ref and continued yelling. That drew the second "t". I thought the mason player was give ample opportunity to walk away. I have no clue what was being said and I only saw the two players go down. Nothing bad after they were on the floor that I saw. What caused them to go down? Dunno, didn't see
  11. I am so confused are you suggesting that Scott is a small school? Players have any talent should the Pendleton and Scott? Or are you suggesting that they only produce large numbers because of the caliber of school that theyare at? If so, I assure you they would start for any team in the state and would be the main guy for 97% of the teams in the state. I take your comments that they are only scoring due to the situation they are in and I find it totally false
  12. You also have stamper back. She looks like she has grown and started 8 games last year filling in for an injured player.
  13. I hope to get to see the team play a few times this year. I'm not sure there is a 15 point difference between these two teams. Didn't they play last year to a 9 point mercer win with SK having a few starters out? So basically, same two teams meet. SK adds Harney. I would think the margin would be closer. But like you said. Its a scrimmage and SK is will be down a starter again.
