Contact the association Meet director of USATF if theres a conflict with New Balance. Sometimes they can pass you on to next meet (Regional) Im not sure if AAU can do the same thing but always check . Coordinating all the different meets can be hard but worth it to get the most out of summer competition

Those rules are actually used by all sports, the reason you dont see the games with Oak Hill in basketball anymore is because Oak Hill isnt part of the high school federation in their state. Track being a team and individual sport allows us to compete in the meet just not for your school. I will be there tomorrow to watch my nephew from Florida compete. Also cant wait to see all the Kentucky athletes. We have several highly ranked athletes in the sprints and jumps!

Jefferson didnt play, but the group that played did a great job. They shot well and defended well. Like most teams weve played they eventually ran out of gas and started fouling .

This wouldnt be good for Malik as he had a couple of concussions his freshman year. One in football then another in basketball. He seemed to have some problems with his balance after that. Really hope hes ok :-(

Yes his foot got caught in bleachers some kind of way and he fell during the time out. Jalen Perry was the athlete who helped get his shoe and foot loose. Did not know that he was an All American when he played. That will be an interesting piece of trivia for the team.

It took about 4 hours ,but we did take a half hour break in London to eat.

The roads were fine and were on the way home ! Probably the worst part of the drive was getting the bus down that winding road from Hazard to the gym. The atmosphere at the gym was great and the people were great ! I would have provided updates but didn't have any type of signal on my iPad or phone .

Leaving in the morning ,should be there early enough to stretch out before game....that facility is going to be interesting to play in. Hopefully there will be no problems getting into the game. That's a long trip to find out it's sold out

Shawnee HS was also in the 6th region . Other 7th Region players were Manual Forrest jefferson countys all time leading scorer , Jason Osbourne from Male, Dajuan Wheat ,Ballard ,Herb Crook and Felton Spencer Eastern and Rick Wilson Atherton to name a few. These kids all had great high school careers.

Ron King and Central were 6th Region. But I'd like to see Manual Forrest Moore HS on that list

Seneca does have two large gyms

Ben Simmons had 32 for Montverde and Jalen Perry 25 for Ballard
