Boyd and Ashland are certainly the two top teams at the moment and after that I think it's a tossup for several teams. I know that given Russell's overall record most probably won't agree with me, but based on how they are playing at this point in the season they may very well be the third best team in the region. This season is starting to remind me of the 90's when it was Ashland, Boyd, Russell and then everyone else a few steps behind them.

The Mason County program is trending the same way the Ashland program did during coach Biggs tenure. Mason, like Ashland, is a tradition rich program and I would imagine the natives are starting to get restless. Hopefully Biggs can get control of the program and get things back on track, otherwise I imagine his time at Mason County is running out. The last couple of years Buddy was at Ashland I knew it was his time to go. Don't take my post...

Round three takes place tonight at James A. Anderson gymnasium in Ashland where the Tomcats defeated the Lions 83-80 in double overtime for the AIT Championship. A few days later the Tomcats traveled to Boyd County for round two and the game was never in doubt with Ashland winning 77-65 on Boyd's home floor. Do the Tomcat's pull off the regular season sweep of their rival, or does Boyd get redemption tonight?

I feel like Clark County pulls off the "upset." I'm not one to complain about rankings because I know first hand how difficult it can be to dial them in and your never going to get them exactly right. But I feel like GRC has been a bit undervalued this season and Pulaski may be a little high, given that this one is being played at GRC I think they'll win a close one. Should be a great game.

I would be okay with that. I like it the way it is, but your idea goes back to my idea of a large school and small school class, you just put a little more effort into it.

I hate the idea of it but if indeed it did happen, 3 classes makes the most sense to me. Enrollment numbers don't matter as much with basketball as it does with football so I can't see the need for more than three classes. I'd be fine with two classes if it ever happened.

6-8 inches in the Ashland area. We tried to wait it out before starting snow removal but it seemingly didn't want to stop, so we ended up heading out at 10'ish anyway and will have to go do nearly everything again tomorrow. It was snowing around 1" an hour at times. Finally stopped around 5:30, about half an hour after we called it a day hah. When I went to bed last night I was pretty confident that we would only get about 2-3 inches but the...

When looking at the current radar there is a pretty heavy band of snow heading for that area. I'd imagine that nWo's estimate is likely more accurate than the nws.

How does the bolded accidentally happen? Is the icon that activates the alert next to the dudes Facebook app and he accidentally clicked the wrong one, then when it said "are you sure you want to do this" he must have thought it was some new Facebook security protocol? That would be similar to me accidentally clicking to format my hard drive and wipe it clean and then when windows asked if I was sure I wanted to do that because it would erase...

It's likely just conspiracy theorists but when you put some of the things from the recent days it does make a little sense. The first few articles I read about the accidental alert said it would be really hard for the alert to be an accident because there are several people that are involved in activating the alert. Also it took 40 minutes before the alert was deactivated and claimed to be a false alarm. One of the reason's for that was that...

I had the Blackened Shrimp cajun pasta at Christopher Eats in Huntington/Barboursville, WV a few days ago. It was a half pound of blackened shimp and roasted spinach, with a creamy cajun tomato sauce, tossed in linguine. I'm not a fan of tomatoes but I do love a good tomato based sauce as well as tomato soup. This stuff was excellent. Spicy, creamy sauce and loaded up with blackened shrimp.

Don't forget Frederic Douglas! They were top ten in 6A last season, they should do really well in 4A.

That sounds much better than putting them in with Ashland, Boyd and Rowan to me. I'm just not sure what would happen with district 6 in that scenario though, would it just be a 3 team district? I'm really not going to be happy with the KHSAA if they stick 6A Frederick Douglas in a district with Ashland, one of the smallest 4A schools. :ohbrother:

It's been 10+ years since the one time I tried it, so it may be improved these days. I do remember after the radiator busting the mechanic showed me the sludge that was in it prior to replacing it. I was told that it was a common problem with using stuff like bars leak. But again, that was a long time ago, maybe it's not an issue now.

Typically bars leak and the others end up being a temporary fix that also will clog up and ruin your radiator. I gave bars leak a try once and it stopped the water pump on my jeep from leaking, however within a few months I needed a new radiator as well as a water pump. It clogged the radiator to the point that it built up so much pressure that it blew a golf ball size hole out the side of it.

I wouldn't exactly say that playing in the class your enrollment falls in is giving up.. Highlands has played up for years because they were king of the hill, but they have been on a downward trend and while they did look improved this past season they still have a long way to go to be a threat in 5A, especially with this new realignment. There is nothing wrong with playing in the class that your enrollment numbers land you in. Winning cures a...

You know I respect your opinion and for good reason. I feel like it's not as cut and dry as the information you're providing though. Highlands is in a slump and hasn't shown any indication that they are rising out of that slump. Cov Cath on the other hand made huge strides in 2016 but still weren't there yet. In 2017 they brought home the hardware but it had a lot to do with something that Highlands has not shown during that time frame. Unless...
