I love analogy's! Ashland hasn't done enough to deserve the number one ranking, IMO. However they are seemingly getting closer game by game. Ashland is notorious for starting the season slow, mainly due to losing a large number of linemen every single year. The skill players are available basically every season, the kids in the trenches as well as the defense are what really makes Ashland a top team or a middle of the pack team every season. ...

This is a big win for the Russell program going forward, the Ashland frosh team is honestly a really solid team, IMO. I missed most of the updates but looked through the update thread so I have to ask, does Russell clone "Conley's?" It seems that they always have a high level player in the mix named Conley.

This week many football fans across the state will finally be able to take in a long awaited game as the the Spartans of South Warren make the short trek into town to take on the Bowling Green Purples, the first installment in what will likely be a long term rivalry. Not only is this a long awaited game among the fan bases, it also has huge playoff implications, as well as the right to earn the number two ranking in the class. The Purples hold...

I cautiously agree. Cov Cath may have their best team in history this season. The out of state teams they have beaten are all solid Ohio and Indiana teams, yet the Colonels made short work of all of them. Then there is the in state portion of the Colonels schedul, where Ryle, Lex Cath, Cooper, Beechwood an Highlands all managed a combined total of 28 points versus Covington Catholic, the Colonels scored 235 points in those games. While I do...

I feel like some will be surprised with the outcome of this one. The Purples are good, no doubt about that, they have won the games that that they were supposed to win by a large margin in points, but something is missing this season. The Purples offense isn't producing the crazy video game numbers that it has in the recent past. If the Spartans can limit their penalties, I really believe they will pull off the upset. That said, with this...

I really feel like this proverbial game would be closer than most would expect. I do firmly believe that Trinity would come out on top, but it wouldn't be the cakewalk that some want to believe. Cov Cath has a special team this season, special enough that they could walk their way to the 5A title game. And yes, I believe they will roll Bowling Green when that time comes. No disrespect meant to the Purples though, this is just the Colonels year.

JC by 14-17. I really feel like JC is at least three touchdowns better than Ashland, however the game being at Putnam Stadium is in Ashland's favor and will be a great atmoshphere, that's probably worth 7 points itself. I still think JC rolls though. Ashland is good enough to beat anyone in 4A not named Johnson Central due to their defense, unfortunately JC has a defense that is capable of shutting Ashland's offense down.

I love your enthusiasm. However I feel like JC will show once again why they are hands down the best team in the class. I really feel like Ashland could beat anyone else in the class on a given night, but JC is on another level.

Thanks TAC and Jumper_Dad. I've fired a lot of different weapons and have never noticed the forestock getting hot. That said when I go to the range I'm not shooting massive amounts of ammo in a short period of time either.

Even the forestock? When shooting a rifle or shotgun, I typically place my hand on the forestock, rather than wrap it around the barrel.

Trust me when I say I don't diet, nor do I not eat what I want whenever I want it. I don't need to diet much because I work outside daily with a laboring job, I'm still in pretty good shape, though my arteries may not agree. I grill/smoke plenty of food from ribs, pork shoulder, brisket, steaks, chicken, burgers, dogs, fatty's, etc. That salad as a lunch salad with rotisserie chicken as the protein sounds great though, I would use something...

I don't believe it has been confirmed. There is plenty of speculation on it from the media and I believe the police confirmed that the outer wall of tanks had been punctured. I'm not sure how close the tanks were to the concert, but I would imagine they were far enough away that they wouldn't have been punctured without being fired at. But again, who know's. It took the police days to confirm that a vehicle they were looking for that he owned...

For someone who was allegedly a smart man, he must have been uneducated in how those tanks are built. You're not going to puncture multiple hulls of thick steel with a .223 or .308 round at that distance. Even if you managed to, you're chances of actually igniting the tank is between slim and none. Much closer to none in my opinion, unless it was a nearly empty tank. For instance, if you have a metal gas can you don't care to ruin, and a couple...

Yeah, how does that happen? A high profile case like this can't get a single person on security detail for the Paddock properties until the FBI is done looking through them? That's absurd. Other weird things for the conspiracy theorists: 1. The police had been looking for one of Paddocks vehicles for days, after the shooting happened. They eventually found it in the garage of one of his houses that they had already searched. 2. The...

I completely agree, but unfortunately UNC never lost their accreditation. This just goes to show that even the academics side of colleges has it's own agenda. I could throw the P word in there prior to agenda, but since that forum is shut down for good reason, I'll let you use your imagination. UNC's accreditation was in question, but never revoked. Hence the issue with the NCAA doing much about this. It's laughable though given the massive...

I get that, but it seems like in recent years, including police involved shootings there is video released rather quickly. In this instance there has been no video or images released other than the leaked pictures of him dead in the hotel room. With those being leaked, it's surprising that pictures or video of him at the hotel or anywhere else in Vegas that night while still alive haven't been leaked as well.

A great feeder system and coach Mattney is what makes JC the program that they have evolved into. Mattney leaving Sheldon Clark for JC was a game changer for the Golden Eagles. I'm not a JC insider by any means but I imagine Mattney has a lot to do with feeder system as well. Like him or not (for years I didn't, however he's certainly earned my respect since then) Mattney is one heck of a coach and could make just about any program in the state...

I'm not a conspiracy theorist at all, but I do have one question. Typically after something like this, or any high profile case, there is video released of the suspect at or near the scene. In this instance, there is plenty of video from 2013 of him at another casino that he sued due to a slip and fall, yet I haven't seen a single image of him at or near the Mandalay Bay? There were rumors that there was a female companion that was with him...

The games are becoming painfully long. I've been going to UK games since I was a kid and I remember generally getting back to Ashland around 12:15-12:30am for the 7:30 kickoff times. So far this season there have been two 7:30 kickoffs and I haven't made it back to Ashland before 2am yet. It's at the point where I may as well get a room or stay at a friends house for the night games.
