Mercer County finished last season 7-6 while opening the season 2-0 prior to falling to Anderson County 19-21. This season the Titans are starting off the season 0-2 prior to facing one of the best group of Bearcats in recent memory. Anderson County has looked really solid starting their 2018 campaign 2-0 with wins against 6A foes, George Rogers Clark and Meade County. Who wins this one and why?

The Indians of Montgomery County finished last season 10-3, losing to state runner up Madison Southern in the third round of the playoffs. This season also looked promising until the close loss to 4A East Jessamine at home. Will the Indians regroup this week or suffer another heart breaking loss to a team they should beat?

The Apollo Eagles are off to a solid start this season after finishint 7-4 in 2017, ultimately losing to Greenwood in the first round of the playoffs. The Cougars of McLean County are catching praise in class 2A however and are off to a 2-0 start in 2018 themselves. Can the Cougars upend the Eagles or will the Eagles roll like they did last season?

Both of these teams are undefeated while only giving up 27 points between them through four games. Last season the Warriors won this one 24-15. This one looks to be a defensive battle, who wins and why?

Cade Brandt - Ashland WR 300+ yards on 6 catches resulting in four touchdowns through two games. If my memory is right he has 316 yards on the season earning him 52 yards per reception. Pretty impressive for someone that is new to the Ashland offense.

It's one of those series that the more you research the characters as well as watch the series multiple times you start to see things that you may not have at first. Loved the show. It ran it's corse and they ended it at a good time without running it into the ground honestly. Simon could have kept it going but it would have became a rinse and repete type of show.

I've seen portions of the first episode, then my wife changed the channel, so I'd imagine I missed what you're talking about. Regardless, it's odd that Hollywood can say what they want and it's just deemed at "theatrics," but when someone not in the movie, comedy, or media industry says something off the wall they're fired and ridicululed. Seems like a double standard but what do I know..

They're knocking on the door. They are open this week though so I wouldn't expect much of a change.

Briskets are tough to get right, it really depends more on the quality of cut you were able to find than the technique you use to cook it. What temp did you cook it at? Do you have a digital thermometer to determine the temp at the grate? First thoughts are that it stalled at 178'ish and had you wrapped it in foil or pink butchers paper and let it ride out the stall to 190-195 it would have came out more tender as at that point it's steaming...

It's the best series ever produced in my opinion. Whole it's a fictional plot it could easily be considered non-fictional due to the fact that they didn't over do it, as well as the characters they used have had some shady pasts as well. Melvin Williams for instance played a good guy role in the series, but his past was completely different, running a drug empire in Baltimore in the 70's and 80's. He claims he made over 200 million selling...

Greenup County looked really solid after a sluggish start on defense. That said, Russell helped them look solid at some points. To be frank, Russell was out coached, outplayed and outmanned in my unbias opinion. That doesn't mean the Red Devil's are going to have a terrible season, but they're gonna lose their first three games.

Greenup started out a little sluggish on defense but have looked really solid since. Russell is going to struggle this season against teams that have much size.

I was just there an hour or so ago to drop some stuff off to the kids, I'll be heading back later this evening. For anyone attending I would recommend getting there early as far as parking goes, some of the grassy area that I remember being used in the past is a bit swampy looking. There is a small grassy area that looks suitable to park in but it's not going to hold many vehicles.

You should. Raceland was impressive tonight. Ashland was outplayed imo, the difference was the overall team speed Ashland has as well as a couple of big time playmakers that can take it to the house anytime they touch the ball. Overall Raceland out played my Tomcats so that's a good thing going forward for Raceland.

I feel you and feel for the young Rams as well, they shouldn't hang their heads on this loss though. They came out and played with fire in their eyes and had my Tomcats rattled. Honestly I didn't think Ashland would come back to win, I felt like the Rams were in their head. Something, I don't know what, happened at halftime and the Ashland team from last week showed up to play. Both of these teams will have great seasons I'mo and I came away...

But one of my best friends is a diesel mechanic for Marathon Marine, I've not found anything he can't fix and he accepts beer or bourbon as payment. Still a solid no?

I'm not buying new, something 2015-16'ish. I think they changed the name recently though and the years I'm looking at are actually SRT 8's.

We're looking for another vehicle for my better half and I really like the Grand Cherokee SRT's, but not for my wife lol. Would it be bad a bad move for me to buy the SRT and give the wife my current vehicle? Trying to stay out of the doghouse as much as possible, I can handle a few days in the doghouse though. What are your thoughts, G?

From what I've seen so far, Ashland is much better than they were at this point in the season last year. Last year it took a few games for Ashland to really click, this season they were playing great even in the scrimmages. Ashland returns 8 starters on both sides of the ball from last season's team. I imagine that the experience has a lot to do with Ashland starting off where they left off last season, but there is also more to it I believe....

Ashland will definitely miss Jones the next few weeks but his backup Dakotah Church is a solid player as well. Ashland is a solid 2-3 deep on the line, so him being out won't hurt as bad as it would in some years. His backup got quite a bit of pt in the Harlan County game and was impressive as well.

Beachwood is the clear favorite in 1A regardless of the outcome of this game. That said, if Raceland can keep this game around 3td's they can beat anyone in 1A not named Beechwood. No disrispect to the Rams at all, Beechwood is just on another level from anyone else in 1A. Also this Ashland team is the best I've seen in a long time, so I wouldn't put too much thought into how the Rams season will go after tonight's game. For what it's worth,...
