My two cents is drop down to 4A until the program gets back on track then go back up to 5A like Guru suggested. I know it will be tough not being in the same district with CovCath for the first time in a while. But the teams would still play each other so the rivalry would continue on.

The Blue and White hoped to pull off a huge 36th road district win Friday. Dating back to the 2011-12 season, the Highlands Bluebirds boys basketball team (6-8 overall) had beaten the Newport Wildcats (11-4) only two times. The third time since then did not come as the Wildcats jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back in a 73-39 victory. It marked the first district seed game of the season for both teams. Highlands did not shoot well...

This hashtag on the Highlands Football team's Twitter Account may have some of their more skeptical supporters smiling at least a little. #State2018 The Bluebirds know they have a lot of work to do this off-season to make that happen. A huge area of emphasis will be on their run defense. The Bluebirds allowed 3,336 yards on the ground last year for an average of 278 per game in their 6-6 campaign that saw Highlands lose three games late...

It was more about advancing to the championship game of the seventh annual LaRosa's Holiday Classic at Conner for the fourth time since its inception more than anything else. But still, the Highlands Bluebirds girls basketball team (9-4 overall) can take satisfaction in knowing it accomplished something that did not happen in two games last year. Highlands beat the Cooper Lady Jaguars (5-9), 68-57 in the winner's bracket semi-finals on...

I sympathize with Paducah Tilghman supporters on the turnover issue. My in-laws live in Paducah so we drive there every year to watch the Tilghman-McCracken County game and I hated to see that game end on a botched PAT attempt. I do like what both teams are trying to do. Tilghman will be tough in the future if the players buy into what Coach Duncan and staff is trying to implement.

Correct, Colonel-fan. Highlands and CovCath will play just one game at GABP that evening. The other game will feature someone like Elder.
