  1. I dont want to come ofr rude in anyway but these rankings are terrible imo. I agree with Ville30, Brandon Johnson from JTown played on a terrible team. He faced double and triple teams all season and still managed to average 26 ppg and shoot 45% from three. He also finished his career ranked in the top 10 in several categories. Im not going to mention any names I dont want to offend any kids but some of those names he has listed in the top 20 are laughable
  2. I really like Central. Bibby is a great coach and it seems like kids really buy into his style of play. Brandon Wells might not be a big time college prospect but he is a very nice high school PG. I was also very impressed with Daivon Thompson. 6-foot-4 lefty can shoot it, post up smaller defenders and score in transition.
  3. Deion is a FANTASTIC young man. Im very happy for him and his family.
  4. Does anyone know if there are any aau events in Louisville this spring? I know there used to be a lot of tournaments at Hoops and Mid America. Thanks in advance.
  5. Congrats to Jeffersontown sharp shooter Brandon Johnson, who picked up a scholarship offer from the University of Charlston in West Virginia.
  6. This season I saw Jeffersontown's Brandon Johnson pour in 43 points against Franklin County. He followed that performance up with a 37 point performance against Bullitt East and a 34 point performance against Central.
  7. Big game tonight at Mercy in the 1st round of districts, as Jeffersontown takes on Fern Creek. Fern Creek defeated Jtown by 3 at home in their only reg. season meeting. The Chargers were up by double digits at halftime. Last season Jtown won the reg. season matchup, only to lose by 2 in the rematch in districts. Its always close when these two rivals meet up.
  8. I second that buttels. To all the seniors around the great Bluegrass state, thank you for all the memories. This senior class is solid and a lot of these young men will go on to have great careers at the next level.
  9. The first week of February was extraordinary for Jeffersontown senior Brandon Johnson. The 6-foot-3 SG poured in 43 points against Franklin County, then followed that performance up by netting 37 against Bullitt East and 34 against Central. Here is a nice highlight video displaying Johnson's scoring outburst.
  10. That was my mistake. It was Jtown @ Southern. The Chargers played Valley last week. Thanks for the correction.
  11. Great game at Valley tonight as the Chargers defeated the Trojans. Brandon Johnson lead JTown with 27 points, 10 Rebounds and four assists. Wanye Smith and Jimmy Kwizera came up big for the Chargers also. With the score tied Smith got a big rebound with less then 10 seconds left in the game. He laid the ball in and got fouled to put Jtown up two. He missed the free throw but Kwizera got the rebound and laid the ball in to give Jtown a four point lead with 6 seconds left. Good win for the Chargers who have now won 3 in a row.
  12. Im gonna have to go with Central. They have impressed me both times I have watched them this season. They play great together. Well coached and they get after it on defense. I think it will be a great test for those young kids at Fern Creek.
  13. WOW!!!!! Thats a very shocking score. I wonder if PRP played without some their players.
  14. Johnson was great once again for Jtown. He struggled some in the first half and only scored 10 points. He came out hot in the 3rd however finishing the quarter with 15 points and giving JTown a lead that they never gave up.
  15. Its been a tough season for Valley but they only have one senior on their team. A lot of freshmen and sophomores on that team.
