  1. This was my son's senior year. I can't tell you how proud I am of all of the seniors, 20 of which have been a part of the team all 4 years. Now they are brothers for life. What a battle! Old Grappler...thank you for always cheering for them the past four years. I never realized how much HARDER it would be watching your child finish their last game, then it is finishing your own....
  2. Sad night for these boys...they had too many mistakes, and still kept it to 14 to 12 at the half. My heart is hopeful they keep the dream. These 27 seniors, and all the boys, need a win.
  3. I am hoping to see that Boone Co. continued fight Friday night. I know these seniors go in each week believing they can win/keep up. They are coming off an emotional week and just wanted to say thank you for rooting for them.
  4. As an alumni, it didn't get too rough until the comment about St. Henry. Come on. No need there... The boys are fighting hard and I hope they see some successes. Especially for these seniors who've had a bit of a roller coaster 4 years. Good game Cooper!
  5. Yes, that is what I was thinking. That he was a Razorback before playing Freshman at Boone County High school as an 8th grader. Was a pleasure to see him play.
  6. Didn't Gage play all the way up to 8th grade (last eligible year in BCPWFL) when he then played Freshman at Boone as an 8th grader? Thought I saw him play as a Razorback...
  7. And on the other hand, it's nice for the senior that had limited playing time to get a little recognition for being committed and and there for the varsity to practice and get better with. My son had a coach in pee wee that was very good at that. He consistently praised the 2nd string for getting in there and working hard and helping win as a team.
  8. I'm so glad these Boone boys keep working at it. To watch their whole student section walk over to cheer them out of their locker room at half time during the first week game against Lex Cath shows a lot of class and pride. Especially after feeling great after the scrimmage the week before. Keep your heads up and work hard Boone boys. You actually do have a lot of people rooting for you. Hoping for a good game. Good luck Ryle boys too.
  9. My understanding is that they are in the interview process. There are a lot of good kids on this team. I hope they do push out the bad apples and give these boys something to work for. I know plenty of boys who are there giving 110% hoping to get noticed and coached.
  10. So it's okay to stay in our neighborhood? Wow, I'm slightly offended by this. NO one wants it in their neighborhood. I am sad Florence has turned the way it has. I'm sick of it honestly and wish something would be done. It also doesn't help that low income housing shut down in some surrounding areas to "improve" that area with shopping etc and pushed more low income housing to be started in Florence. It's a shame the way Florence was allowed to "grow".
  11. Correct. That is what I read as well. I believe the BCPWFL has a meeting tonight with the parks regarding some teams being moved off of their practice fields at Idlewild for the Bandits to practice on. The argument being, they are not a "Boone" county team per se. Play games in Kenton county etc. Not sure what the outcome there will be...
  12. The Bandits team, and I could be wrong, was created because of a wish to keep ONE of the Hebron midget teams all together. There are TWO Hebron midget teams in BCPWFL. To me, it appeared this was the "winning" Hebron team. The draft into a Hebron jr division team could have allowed kids to meet MORE kids from Hebron and chance different wins/losses learning etc. The league drafts to their high schools. My understanding also, is that Conner is NOT in direct support of this like a feeder you see in Union. Again, this is just my understanding..... I also witnessed a few come back and request to come back to the BCPWFL after signing up for Bandits and their fee was waived.
  13. Just my input from experience. We go to Disney almost every 3 years. My father must use a wheelchair to get around the park. There is a line/que for everyone that fits the wheel chairs, on 70% of the lines, you do not jump ahead. You are in the regular line for most of the way. So much so, that I really have a hard time believing someone would pay this and not feel ripped off. Actually, there are quite a few times that it's a detriment (sp?) to the group. You get seated for shows in areas that aren't that great for viewing. Also, the groups I've seen stop the line and go to the front and visit longer are typically the Make A Wish foundation.... Just my 2 cents.
