I couldn't remember if they even removed the "interim" tag from him last year. I'm sure that they did because that tag was given because of paperwork/HR reasons but yeah, I've wondered the same thing.

Still wish he was coaching the Ads!

With Danville continuing to lose athletes to surrounding schools it may be difficult to bring in a good coach and generate a lot of interest. This will be the Ads third coach in 3 years.

Hard for me to see Colorado posting that record in the new Big 12.

The virtriol is more about Danville ending the series (at least from loyal fans). I think Danville had already contacted Lincoln about a game, hence their decision to cancel Boyle. I don't see why you would do that unless you already have someone else you can slot in there.

Sad to hear that. I thought as an alum Ford would stay in that job for a while. Danville should make an immediate call to Woods. He won't take it but hey, a man can dream!

This was a rebuilding year for Danville under Ford. I'm looking forward to seeing what year 2 brings for the Ads.

Yeah, it's been really sad to see in the games I've attended as of late. The whole vibe/energy is like a ghost town. If you'd have told me it'd be that way in the 1980s or 1990s, I would've said you were nuts.

As someone posted earlier, same thing happened in Danville years ago. Coach terminated and the super never gave any public statement outside of "Going in a different direction." I feel bad for Wayne County because I've had something like this happen to my own team.

I agree with others that this story stinks. I have zero confidence in Rob Manfred to lead this investigation.

At least the ship's captain/crew got the mayday call out before the catastrophe took place. Going to be a nightmare for East Coast supply chains for a while.

Just sad. Hoping this can resume someday. Not getting a story about this is why I miss the decline of the Advocate Messenger.
