  1. Conner is good but Camels flat out laid an egg. Disappointing. What should of been a great high school football game turned into a motherless beat down. Unacceptable.
  2. No one from Campbell said they were. You better worry about your birds because that team that's not all that and a bag of chips hung an L on your boys.
  3. Congrats to the Camels. They hit and got a gem from Colton Hartig. Thanks to Simon Kenton for allowing us to use the field. Thunderstorm rolled through Bourbon this morning, buses turned around and came back. Bourbon County did come to SK and did the gate and announcing. Best of luck to the Camels at state
  4. Instead of preparing the road for your kids, prepare your kids for the road. What people don't see are the things Brad does for kids behind the scenes that are non basketball related. He's a tough coach who holds kids accountable for their actions on and off the court. Has he done or said things that he regrets? Absolutely and Brad would be the first to say so. He cares about the kids and their futures more than wins and losses. But the real issue here is the cowardly act of recording a coach in the locker room at halftime orchestrated by another coach. This all coming from a coach that has, for years, said the same things that were recorded but now it's different when it's your lil Johnny. How hypocritical of you and I hope karma comes back to bite ya.
  5. Tough spot for Fro to be in but his loyalty is to the kids. Always has been and always will be. If he disagrees with something that happened, he will speak his mind and say so, face to face.
  6. Birdbrain or Clyde: officiating question? Coach Carr got a T in first half. Ohmer fouled out and got T'd up after fouling out. Would that be a T on the bench? And if it is, does that go against the coach?
  7. IMO: T on Coach Carr was weak and I didn't see what Ohmer did to earn the T but it was 60 feet away so I'll call that one weak as well. The camel player that ran away with ball that some are saying should of been T'd up, good call. That official quickly put his whistle in his mouth and gave him the "look" and the player stopped and gave the ball to another official. My point is this, officials have to realize it's a district/rivalry game and not let it get out of hand. The players/coaches have to adjust to the way the officials are calling the game. Camels had 3 starters on the bench in the 1st half with 3 fouls. Scott had 3 kids in foul trouble. I saw 2 teams busting their hump and getting after it and many of them didn't adjust to the way the game was being called. One that stood out to me was Matt Wilson. He got beat on all night slapped, elbow in the lower back, shirt pulled but he never lost his cool. Coach Carr got T'd up and adjusted. I was upset because I didn't get to see him work the sidelines like a caged Lion. Coach Carrs teams are going to play hard, physical and strong. Coach Russell made adjustments with kids in foul trouble because the Camels aren't very deep. Some unfair cheap shots have been takin at Aric on here. Guy can flat out coach and is an outstanding role model to those kids. Should be real interesting if they meet again in districts.
  8. So happy for Kylie and her family. Outstanding young lady who loves the game and gets to continue playing at the next level. Job well done Kylie.
  9. Yeah all the moms around me are reminding the refs every time he stands up. Ouch
  10. Come on LA, half of my money is to watch the kids the other half is to watch Coach Carr work the officials. That's always priceless.
  11. Small crowd but the refs may need a police escort after this one. Both fan bases not happy. Couldn't pay me enough to ref.
  12. Really great young lady with a tremendous work ethic and outstanding family. Excellent job Haley and best of luck.
  13. If your insinuating that I have a chip on my shoulder your totally off base. I gave a game summary and you stated that CCHS just doesn't have the horses and I disagree. I believe in this team and will root for them til the very end. If my kid plays good, I'll tell him he had a good game. If he plays bad I'll tell him he played bad. My qualifications allow me to do that. I won't sugar coat it for him, I'll leave that stuff for Willy Wonka.
  14. I won't get into the reasons they aren't having success this season. If your saying injuries and lack of talent is the main reason they are struggling this year, You have blinders on. I agree it plays a part but a lot more to it. Good news is it's playoffs. We have a chance to make good on a subpar season. Reality isn't what you only care to see.
