Pork doesn't stall like beef brisket does, it usually doesn't take it long to get past it.

Can't figure this out. FC showed nothing against Anderson last week at FC, and I thought Shelby, though not great by any stretch, was better than this.

If he's more outside the pocket, but less inside of it, then in my mind that's a push and it's not an upgrade. Now, I guess one could argue that it could be possible to design the offense to go more outside the pocket on passing plays and let Kap create, but then you are putting a LOT on Kap to perform and make good decisions, and I'm just not sure he's the guy to do that. With that said, Dalton has not looked good for sure, but it's not 100%...

I don't think I have ever had their brisket. Usually get a large shoulder plate, sometimes the smoked chicken quarter, and a double side of their sweet potato crunch. It's really good and the closest thing I can find thats close to the sweet potato casserole I make during the holidays. Glad you liked it.

Never been a big fan of the layout, they have a couple of really ugly holes that just seem out of place, and never a fan of a course with houses everywhere.

I have played course all over that state, traveling with my job. Few private courses, my stops are usually upper/mid tier to lower tier public courses. Around here, for a public daily fee high traffic course, Houston Oaks is near the top of my list. I like the Bull as well, though it's hit and miss with a lot of other golfers. Peninsula used to be high on my list, as did Lafayette (Falls of the Rough). But conditions at both bring them...

I MIGHT have been to venice Beach, but don't remember if I made it there or not. If I dd it was only for a brief time while visiting down that way while while stationed in California. Not sure about Nashville. Was there for a training class a few years ago downtown and spent a night in the tourist/bar/club area. If that's it then yes I have. been to Chicago probably 20 times and can't recall ever going to the pier. Definite no to the...

My recent trip to New Orleans got me to thinking about this. I travel quite a bit for my job and have been to and seen some neat places/things that I probably would not have done otherwise. So, here are 5 things I have done/visited on trips that many people have done. They are fairly common things but are also pretty random, and I wonder who has done them all. I will try to rank them in what I think would be the order of what people have...

Yes, internal meat temp. You can get very fancy and get a "stay in" internal thermometer that constantly monitors the meat temp and can signal you once a preset temp is reached. Some even have bluetooth capability and will interact with your phone. I am still researching those but will eventually get one. Or you can go with a basic instant read digital, can get a good one usually for under $10.00 or so, and there are a lot of guys who just...

So I catered an event weekend before last, did about 50 lb of pulled pork for a baseball organization. Also grilled hamburgers hot dogs and brats on site. It was quite a bit of work especially doing the barbecue early refrigerating it and then warming it up, that doubled my work but using my new propane smoker I wasn't sure when I would get done with it and it smoked quite a bit quicker than my electric smoker. Barbecue came out wonderful...

First thing you got to learn, you can't smoke to a time you have to smoke to temperature. A good instant read digital thermometer at the very least is a must. As far as chicken goes I'd say starting with quarters is the best way to go. You want to use a lighter type of wood to smoke that, some type of fruit, Cherry, Peach are both good. Might want to add just a little bit of Hickory or Oak with that. If smoking a pork shoulder, throw the Hickory...

Ate supper at the original Pierre Maspero's. In a very neat old historic building with tons of History and good food too. Finished the night at Cafe Du Monde with some Beignets and coffee. Walked to the cigar Factory and my coworker bought a cigar that he really liked. Back at the hotel. Already have plans for Thursday night, the Saints are in town playing Baltimore got online and got tickets for 15 bucks a piece.
