Fixed it on a friend's old worn out grill...had hot and cold spots all over it. Had to move the thing constantly. With that, I did close the top for a while at times, but would probably done so more on my grill that cooks evenly.

If nothing else I'm going to add a little bourbon smoked paprika and some garlic and onion powder..maybe a little white pepper too.

Just got back from the butcher shop. Picked up some fresh hamburger, 6 pound bone in pork roast, about a 10 pound brisket flat, some chicken quarters and a couple of different types of smoked sausage, one of which will go in my cowboy beans tonight. Anybody got a rub recipe for brisket, other than the normal salt and pepper Texas style?

Spiced it with a sweet(ish) bbq rub I use when smoking it, also put some onion and garlic powder as well. Grilled it whole, didn't cut it into slices until after I cooked it. I think that kept it juicer, though it did take it longer to cook. Did't really flare up, juices stayed it if for the most part. Did have to man the grill though and do a lot of turning. Turned out excellent.

Anybody smoking/grilling this weekend? I have a huge fish fry I'm going to and have been asked to bring my cowboy beans and smoked chicken. Instead of the chicken I might do a coupe of bone in pork roasts...char on the grill first then smoke.

Huh. I have never seen that time frame described as the "golden age" and whole heatedly disagree with the description. Now, I have heard the 50's and early 60's described as such, which I agree with. It would be like someone saying we are in the "golden age" of radio right now because of the rise of conservative talk shows the past few years. I wouldn't agree with that either. **Just did a little research and saw where, indeed some...

I definitely want to hear the full story on this one. On the face of it, it just makes no sense what so ever. Lady who called the cops is in her pj's talking with one cop at the cruiser window, next instant dude opens fire, ACROSS HIS PARTNER (which should take place in only the most dire/extreme cases) and shoots this lady multiple times? The story just makes no sense. I hope these two officers were separated quickly at the scene and are...

This weekend is the (formerly known as) Wild Turkey 2 man golf tournament at Wild Turkey Trace golf course. 40 teams, starts Friday night with the calcutta and the skins game. Saturday play 18 with different formats on each 9 (shamble I think on the front and take best score, alternate shot on back). Big fish fry later in the evening. Sunday play 18, and I think play your own ball and combined score, with handicaps. Busy weekend.

I would be interested to see how this lineup would compare to some other states historical NBA guys. It's actually not a bad starting 5, if maybe a tad undersized. 1. Rondo 2. Griffith 3. Houston 4. Unseld 5. Cowens

That hasn't been my experience or understanding, they usually want a larger down payment and I don't think I have ever seen 0% on a used car, but I'm not an expert either.

The 0%/60 stuff I can't speak on, I guess you will just need to stop and talk with a dealer. I do highly recommend the car though. Can also make a recommendation to a salesman at an out of state dealer (in North Carolina) that may be able to give you the best deal possible, if you are willing to travel some or have it driven/delivered. Bought 2 from him and got us better deals than we could find around here.

The Hyundai Accent is a different class of car from the Focus and Corolla. With that said, as much as I love my Hyundai Sonata, stay away from the Accent. Drove one...tin can on wheels, very very basic sub-compact car. The Hyundai Elantra on the other hand I would highly recommend, girlfriend has one (2016) right before they restyled the current model. The Elantra is in the same class with Focus and Corolla. If you can find a good financing...

Smoked about 19 pounds of pork butt for pulled pork this weekend. Tasty and as good as ever. Also grilled some hamburgers Sunday night and grilled a bone in pork roast (5 bone), something I had never cooked before. Was going to smoke it but I had to get it cooked so spiced it up and threw it on the grill (cookout at buddies house). Came out with the perfect char and so tender and juicy inside. Had a couple of the guys tell me that, as much...

I tried, and watched the whole movie and had high hopes, but it was pretty bad, and some of the special effects were just gosh awful for a modern day movie. Embarrassingly so. And to be quite honest, when I saw the directors name in the opening credits...Mario Van Peebles, my heart started sinking before the ship did. Then again, I already knew the story and had a good working knowledge of what had happened.

A nice place to stop and get gas on the way to somewhere else. And Deuce, everybody doesn't hate Louisville, not sure why so many in Louisville have that complex. I hear many more people disparage Lex and in the same breath say how much they like/enjoy Louisville. Now, you are ALWAYS going to have a percentage of people...
