  1. I get that argument to a degree. Imo the 1 seed should get every benefit possible. Play lower seeds and the extra day. Don’t want to play back to back days? Don’t be the 4/5 seed...just my opinion.
  2. That gives the 2/3 seeded teams two days before the finals. Defeats the purpose of being the 1 seed.
  3. A shot clock would have little effect on the game. Most high school teams will shoot it before 30-35 seconds. A major issue I see is having people to work it. Some schools struggle to find people to work the regular clock (some even use kids which shouldn’t be allowed). A shot clock won’t improve the quality of play. As a matter of fact it might hurt the game until kids quit spending all their time playing video games, social media and playing too many AAU games. Don’t get me wrong AAU serves its purpose. However, kids play too many games instead of working on their bodies, skill level, etc.
  4. Yea...same as the situation with Paris and Bourbon County.
  5. If this is the case surprising it hasn't been mentioned before.
  6. Is there any chance Eminence and Henry County will ever consolidate or is it similar to Paris/Bourbon County?
  7. Think he heads back to Louisville? On paper it looks like Grant County would be a solid job...if so, why all the turnover in recent years?
  8. Great game. Mercer did a great job of mixing up their defenses. Shame these two had to battle in round one.
  9. I agree on all counts. It should be entertaining with both teams going up and down. Should be a huge crowd being at night and assuming Mercer County brings a lot of people. I also look forward to the Christian County/South Laurel matchup...two very different styles.
  10. Rankings have no bearing on any matchup. I have seen both teams play and IMO Dunbar is better and will win. No axe, dull or sharp, to grind. Mercer County could be as high as 2nd or as low as 4th or 5th in the 11th region.
  11. I didn't and last year's Boyle County team would beat this year's Mercer County team.
  12. Mercer County has no chance. Period. Comparing common opponents is useless. Dunbar is too quick and they have at least the best if not the two best players on the floor. Mercer County's soft schedule will come back to bite them and Dunbar is just better.
  13. I could not agree more. Montgomery County had a very solid senior class and what to show for it? One region win. The saying one gets what they ask for seems to fit here perfectly. Congrats to Augusta and hope they can pull it off!
