  1. Phil Hester, driver of the suv, has a broken femur in one leg, crushed ankle in the other leg, and broken ribs. He had surgery on the femur Sat. morning. He's been in extreme pain, but his wife said they are extremely lucky he's alive and their children weren't in the car with him. He looking at least 3 months to recovery and physical therapy and could be up to 6. He was headed to a track meet at Cooper.
  2. I did witness CVH clapping his hands and laughing within 2" of Goetz's face. I give Goetz major credit by ignoring him and not retaliating like I would have done. Of course I played in the 80's and a player would only get one chance to slap his hands 2" from my face even if it meant being thrown out of the game. Times have changed and I'm a hillbilly! Adam Goetz has way more class and maturity than myself. Great game Adam! You're the real deal!
  3. Great High School Basketball atmosphere. Gym was full, lots of noise and a really good close game. Both teams played great defense. Cooper out rebounded Boone and had just a little more offensively in the 2nd half. Very enjoyable competitive night of basketball.
  4. What other two players for Scott received red cards?
  5. Brendan Benjamin (Boone County) has had a phenomenal year! I'd like to know his stats.
  6. Well let's hope he doesn't do what the Boone coach did. The kid that got his second red card of the season was only suspended two games. (1st red at Bluegrass, 2nd in Scoot game) After a 2nd red a player should be suspended 3 games per KHSAA. So Boone coach suspended players with their 1st red ever for 5 games but the player with 2 reds on the season only got 2 games.??? Can someone explain that one? and yes the Bluegrass Games count same as a regular season game. (check the KHSAA rules).
  7. Less than 4 or 5 minutes into the game jawing began between players and some rough housing. A ref showing full control of a game out of the gate would have called both teams together and made a firm statement that he was not going to listen to the jawing or put up with any misconduct and let's have a good clean hard fought game. I've seen it numerous times in several sports and it sets the tone of the game and warns the players that he's not going to put up with anything. Just curious, what's the CR's name? Do you mean to tell me that you can name the players with cards, post them on a state reported website, but can't say the name of an adult ref??? That seems odd to me.
  8. Kyler Padgett was the best highlight for Conner. He stayed composed, ran the offense well, was very accurate with his passes and ran the ball well. Any high school team would be thrilled with Padgett at QB. #24 was very athletic and some really nice plays, Warwick boys had some nice plays as well. Offense was not the issue for Conner. Anyone know how many completions and passing yards for Padgett? He had some big numbers and I bet a sore arm. Padgett and #24 will be a nice 1-2 punch on offense. Who is #24? Jerry Marshall ran the ball great! Anyone know how many rushing yards for Marshall? Amadou Diaw played a great game also and did it on both sides. That kid laid it on the line every play and even puked on a hand off for a run but continued running hard. You've got to love his effort.Tons of tackles and diving to deflect passes and running the ball. He's a tough tackle when he runs the ball. Jamar Lamb has some nice throws for big yards also. I kid named Rondo?? and Dylan Bishop had a couple nice catches. Boone got this win without Aaron Floyd and when they can him back in the mix it will be a big bonus. I noticed Aaron cheering his teammates on the sidelines and getting as pumped up as if he was out there. It's heartbreaking that he had to miss 2 games already his Senior year. You can tell he's just foaming at the mouth to get on the field. Can he play next next Friday? Also #29, I think his name is Schlarman for Boone had a couple unbelievable hits and Jesse Bowling was a beast on the line. One stat I think I do know is who had leading rushing yards for Boone..their athletic trainer, Tom Burns! lol When someone goes down, he does a dead sprint to get to the athlete, and he had to deal with a lot of down players last night, mainly with cramps. That's total entertainment just watching him do his job. Burnsie is one focused trainer!!
  9. Shout out to Sophomore Colton Downs! He came up big with a base hit single to center field to score both of SK's runs. That's a lot of pressure for a player with limited varsity experience.
