  1. Congratulations! Always good to get one of your own to come home and judging by everything I have read hear it looks like this is WIN #1 for Holmes! Good Luck Coach!
  2. Coach Sully is going to do well wherever he’s at and for now that’s at Cooper. In spite of all the rhetoric, you have to respect the fact that he’s got an excellent core at Cooper in Johnson, Brown and both the Combs brothers. If for some reason that doesn’t continue and he ends up at Dixie or anywhere else, he’s going to find a way to win because he gets kids to play hard and compete!
  3. UNC is an excellent destination for Austin and Mack Brown did an impressive job recruiting him! Should be an early enrollee which will give him the opportunity to see the field in some capacity his freshman year.
  4. Man, there must be something in the water. This job will draw a lot of interest I’m sure.
  5. Great list! Interesting that there are no QBs in the top 15. Definitely will have some QBs on the 2026 list. Austin Alexander will announce his college choice this Friday at 3:30pn.
  6. Change of heart for what?... Now wanting to reconsider interviewing Sullivan?? You must have some DEEEEP insider information if accurate. I'll believe it when I see it.
  7. Probably a good time to just end the conversation on Sullivan as obviously the Conner administration chose to go a different path as that is their right. It would be best served to let Conner run its' process and pick the best coach that's right for them as no one other than the AD and principal will know the true reasoning on passing on arguably one of the best coaches in the state. Coach Sullivan is the head coach at Cooper and he'll assemble a good team with the an excellent nucleus of players in Johnson, Brown and the Combs brothers.
  8. Congratulations to Austin. He's Kentucky's best player in the class of '25 and #299 in the ESPN 300 and wherever he lands that school is getting a relentless and multi-talented player who's also an EXCELLENT student and community leader! His position is WELL EARNED and WELL DESERVED! Can't wait to watch his senior campaign along with the rest of the Cooper Jaguars.
  9. Again, Holmes absolutely blew it the first time with Sullivan when he was ready to “come home” to his alma mater. Then the story repeated itself with Johnson. I wish them well but it would be insulting to call Sullivan “now” when the program is absolutely decimated and ask him to come save what many view as a sinking ship. Just my 2 cents.
  10. Maybe, maybe not because those same players who “may” have went to Holmes could’ve also went to HC had Johnson been at HC when they made that decision. Holmes had their chance and whiffed. I want Holmes to get back to being competitive, I just don’t think it will be with Coach Johnson.
  11. Ricardo is not going anywhere, I can assure you of that. Holmes brass had a chance to get him and flat out passed on him. When so many doubted, or simply passed over him for a multitude of reasons, Holy Cross stepped up and gave him a chance and found a diamond in th rough in my opinion. He had a successful first season and came within 5 points of making it to the regionals. He loses 1 senior from the team this year, I'd say he's in a pretty good spot for next season. I know Ricardo well and he was hurt being passed up by the Bulldogs previously and has moved on and building on the success at Holy Cross.
  12. Seems to be a repetitive problem. They had a chance to get another alum about 10 years ago and dropped the ball there too! It’s sad to see what the program has become. I hope they find the right coach to make the program relevant again.
  13. Maybe they will and maybe not. Remember that other teams will have “incoming” players as well. I’m sure CCH will have their annual newcomer(s) as well. Like I always say, no games are won on paper and just like last night, games have to be played…
  14. Jack Gohlke went Billy Hoyle on the Cats!! There defense what terrible again. Cal continues to chase all these freshmen and with the transfer portal and kids not chasing the NBA, like 80% of the UK roster, they are playing grown men. I've said that his teams are just too young for years and he can't develop them! Tonite it showed.......again!
