I don't think this is the issue and Fields was not a 100% lock to have this starting job. While it most likely would have turned out that way, Matt was pushing hard and hearing from one of my former players who just left OSU for the draft, Matt has a cannon for an arm, can run just as well, and this certainly was not like Martell's exit. In reading his departure letter, it really sounds like the young man was homesick and wanted to play...

Not sure why you’re asking the question as they are two totally different players but since you asked, McNeil. Both are scorers but McNeil gets the edge for me for rebounding.

Best of luck to Beetle. Great young man and certainly wish him nothing but the best at Bama. Sometimes fresh starts (albeit at the end of his career) are good for everyone involved. As for the bolded part above, they just picked up one of the best shooters in country who lead the nation in junior college scoring, All-American and Northern Ky (Cooper HS) grad Sean McNeil.

Mr. Sixer replied to a thread Sean McNeil in College Basketball
Per his Twitter, Sean has committed to play for Bob Huggins at West Virginia. Congrats to Sean on his journey, the best is yet to come!

I agree with your assessment but the question is the bolded. Many experts have him listed late first round which means he could slip to the early second. Is he one of the top 30 players in the United States, absolutely. The question is whether he is one of the top draft eligible players internationally? Someone will most likely take a chance on him because of his shooting ability but I believe he could be the go to man for Kentucky next year...

This name won't make sense to most but I would consider putting former Buckeye Chris Jent on the list of candidates. While he's spent nearly all of his career at the professional level in the NBA, I am curious to see if he would be interested in returning to college coaching as a head coach. He definitely knows X's and O's.

Best and only decision that should have been made by him. He's an excellent defender and with an improved offensive game he will be most likely ready to leave after one more year. All of the players remaining on roster who's last name isn't Washington need to return! While Herro is a better than average shooter he needs to work on his defense after viewing what Harper from Auburn exposed. Again, that was only 1 game but if another year will...

EXACTLY! I have said this for years. This formula doesn't work. It's worked 1 time since Cal has been there. Get the 2-3 star kids that will stay 3-4 years, get developed and sprinkle in 1 maybe 2 "one and dones" and I assure you they will be more successful. The only player that is ready to leave is PJ anyway IMO. Look at all the of the Final 4 teams rosters and you will find kids that have been in the program 2-3 years. UK and Duke were...

As equally important, Brannen was also void of any of the McNeil brothers as well so I thought he did a great job. Good luck to him in the future and I have a feeling he will end up courtside somewhere.

Told this to a diehard UC fan last week. What has he won since he's been there. Sure, he will get you 25-30 wins and claim he's got more wins than any other team in the AAC (to that I say so what) but at the end of the day you need to at least be in the Sweet 16 more that once in 13 seasons. Sure, he'll get you to the dance but you won't break a sweat before the first song is complete in most years as half the time UC is out in the first...

Got all Elite 8 in tact and 15/16 of the Sweet 16 and leading in the company pool for the 1st time ever. Got Houston making it to the Final 4 and no one else has them so it's make or break this week lol.
