I knew this would be a tough one for the Jags especially on the road.

Just what the Buckeyes needed! Solid nucleus of players returning and a re-vamped coaching staff should make the Buckeyes more than a potential contender! Assuming Fields takes over the job but if not Baldwin has a cannon of an arm and is just as accurate, both QBs are more than solid of leading the Buckeyes back to the playoffs.

Absolutely correct and he spends a lot of time in the Cincy/NKY area. He recruited Dante' Hendrix from Cooper a long time but EMU offered really late after he had committed to Indiana State. EMU does cast a pretty wide net in the region so that is a great thing for NKY and hope more players from the area get a look. Congrats Brycen!

Totally off topic so apologies if I am thread jacking a little bit. I don't know if the young man has any basketball offers but I have said for 3 years I would have loved to have seen what he could do on the football field (or maybe he's played already and I didn't know it). I know nothing about him from a football physicality standpoint or if he had an interest in the sport but he's definitely got the physic of a football player and could see...

Excellent news!! Love seeing players that go the JC route and make it to the next level. Missouri State is in the MVFC which is the toughest conference in FCS, the SEC of the FCS football. Best of luck to him!!

That's the bottom line. A lot of teams "keep it close" but Jags are tough when they find their groove defensively which typically helps them put up enough points win games. They are giving up 44 points per game defensively and have only yielded over 50 points 6 times and are 3-3 when they do so typically when they hold teams under 51 points they are tough to beat. Cooper's bread is buttered on the defensive end of the floor.

This will be one of the most competitive regions in the state with 4-5 teams having the potential of winning the 9th. While many like CCH to still win the region, I still say the team playing the best and most consistent basketball right now is Cooper. They are a senior led team and while they lost a very close game to CCH on the road with probably the worst 3rd quarter in the schools history and the first game back for Walters who struggled...

Congrats to Coach Goetz and the Tigers. The bottom line is all teams in the 9th had better be ready to battle because there are 4-5 teams that can win the region and I’ve changed my opinion of this being a 2 horse race from a month ago when I saw what Cooper did to Beechwood. Several keep saying Mayer is coming back and some say he isn’t. Frankly, one thing is certain, it takes a while to get in “basketball” shape especially when nearly the...

You need to get your facts straight before you start calling out teams that are “bringing down” varsity players for a JV tournament. Coach Sullivan would never go out and try and cheat (which is what you appear to be insinuating) to win a basketball game, let alone a JV tournament. Cooper brought UP 3 freshman players for the tournament who DO NOT play any varsity games and they had one player, a jr, who initially started the season on varsity...

Absolute travesty if this is true. That is a dis-service to the players who are most likely chomping at the bit to have a HC and leader with a direction to get after it. Frankly everyday that goes by will put the program, when it finds a coach, behind it's competition. Nearly every program in the state is back in the weight room and conditioning with a leader. Taking this long will not help Scott keep kids from the district at home. Hoping...

Cooperís best asset is they play as a team. All players have a role and they play it well while any of them could be the leading scorer, rebounder, or assist leader, etc. and nobody cares. No superstars, just a bunch of players that go out and grind and play the way coach Sully wants them to, no flash, no high flyers. Just good old fashion hard nosed defense and a deliberate offense give them a chance to win. Most donít like it but itís...

Great accomplishment getting coaches in this schools young history. Kudos to the staff and players and don’t be ashamed to point those coaches to NKY as well! Any coaches coming to KY schools is a plus in my book! There is great football in the “basketball” state and coaches are recognizing it so keep it going.

Congrats to the Bulldogs. Good teams show up and play. The schedule is the schedule but using that as an excuse is a stretch. I would halfway understand if the game margin was say 8 points or less but to get beat by 19 points and to be down at some point by 30 as someone said by a team that on paper is supposed to be the better team is no more than simply being outplayed. If HC is that much better than Holmes then that margin should have been...

Congrats to the Jags. I could be mistaken but I believe that clinches another district for the Jags.

Gonna pull for Coach Snapp and the Wildcats!! May be a dark horse but I am hoping they "find a way". May be stretch but pulling for the NKY home team. Good luck!
