Boone Co. will surprise some people in the 9th and teams better not sleep on them. Haynes had an excellent summer will be the most improved player in the 9th hands down IMO and Rodgers, who also had an excellent summer, will be the quickest player on the court nearly every night and those that sleep on him because of his size will be surprised by the end of the game.

Once he switch over to Ky Select mid summer playing with Ethan Haynes and Jamaal Neal he gained some very good exposure. He will garner some additional attention because he can fill it up.

Glad to see Coach Fickell taking a look across the river. There is talent right in UC's own backyard. He stated when he took the job that he wanted to recruit within a 350 mile radius as his core and he's sticking to his word. Maybe some other local schools will begin to do the same.

I’m not surprised that SO won. I said at the beginning of the year after watching HHS vs Cooper that this team was not as good as last years team and so many told me that was I didn’t know what I was talking about and that the this years team was so much better. I wonder if those same people feel the same. Good luck to all the seniors.

The 2012/2013 Cooper team lost on a 3 pointer at the buzzer vs. Holmes in the 9th regional semi-finals. Great shot by James Bolden but Holmes never gets the ball if the intentional foul instead of the common foul is called after Cooper steals the ball up by 2 or of course if free throws are made . Great game and great shot by Beetle that came down to the wire.

No triple option is ran without horses up front and solid fb which has not existed at Cooper since 2012 so adjustments have been made to the personnel on hand. To suggest that the offense that has been one of the most productive in not only NKY but the state over the last 6+ years is far fetched at best. Losing a two-time All-State WR and two school record breaking QBs and RB's over the last 2 seasons to graduation took a toll offensively, it...

I'm pulling for CCH and all NKY teams to do well in the playoffs but am I missing something? Up until recently please help me out with the accomplishments of what CCH has done that would strike fear in any NKY team wanting to play them? Is this question being asked as a projection? Are their JV and Freshman teams head and shoulders dominant above all other NKY teams? Those questions are not degrading or anything and I applaud what Coach E. is...

Congrats to PRP for traveling north and getting the win. Sound like few bigs plays took it’s toll on the Jags. Congrats to the Jags for continuing to compete and with nearly all of the team returning next year the future should be bright.

No matter what happens on Friday I am going to say I am proud of the young Jags. Sure they only one 2 games which is two more than many expected but I admire the way the team and coaches stuck together and kept fighting. Brighter days are surely ahead as so many young players got some valuable Friday night experience that will certainly carry over for the next 2-3 years. I look for Cooper to be back to their old self real soon. You just...

If he does go Mid-South, University of the Cumberlands is a great fit "football-wise" as all they do is run the ball and run the ball some more! However, the social environment is not the best as there is not much to do in Williamsburg. Congrats to Jake. Great young man!

Couldn't agree more. For probably having one of the youngest, if not the youngest, teams in the state, the Jags are building confidence at the right time. Many didn't have this team winning any games let alone two and finishing 2nd in the district but it seems that this team is playing with the energy and confidence that it had during the first game of the year finally and believing in themselves. Good luck to the Jags and keep building on...

Really? Who was comparing anything? Let’s see, CCH has been in existence over 50 years? Done great things and has a great coach. For you to even bring up the fact that a start-up school who has only completed 9 season and pales in comparison to coach who came in to an established well oiled machine speaks volumes. Funny things happen when people start writing in championships, kinda like 2016. And some wonder why some have the attitude they...
