  1. This is what I saw. I’m not saying it’s a penalty but Refs thought so. Ball was thrown high and receiver was stretched out reaching for ball and his head was jerked forward. I don’t think it was catchable ball but why did defender target receivers head?
  2. Beechwood leading in penalty flags. I lost count but not as lopsided as expected.
  3. Can or Will Corbin rattle Beechwoods young quarterback?
  4. VARSITY LEVEL PITCHES THROWN IN ONE DAY REQUIRED REST Maximum Pitches – 120 76 pitches or more – Three (3) calendar days of rest 51-75 – Two (2) calendar days of rest 26-50 – One (1) calendar day of rest 1-25 – No mandated rest. I saved this 2 years ago. I’m assuming it hasn’t changed.
  5. Did St Henry pitch Jackson Haddle in both games? With Jackson on the hump, St Henry can beat anybody.
  6. Justin Schlarman caught both games vs Highlands this year and I’m pretty sure he was the starting catcher last year. If my memory serves me right, Cooper subbed in a catcher late in the game at Dixie.
  7. I agree! Trent Parker for Brossart is a solid defensive catcher who does great job of framing pitches and managing the game. Arm strength has increased over the last 2 years. A great team leader! Noah Brewer for Campbell County can flat out rake. Schlarman for Cooper has a cannon and McCabe for Ryle is pretty solid all around.
  8. From PBR: Ryan Nicholson went 2-for-3, and Alex Adams and Noah Nelson both had an RBI in the win. Leighton Keller pitched 2.2 innings to get the win in relief.
  9. #1 seed Vs #4 seed in district tournament play. Anybody got any details?
  10. Birds lose 4-3 to the number one team in Ky in a game no one thought would be played. Birds were winning 2-1 after 6. In the top of 7th, St X scores 3 to go up 4-2. Birds plate one in the bottom of the 7th and strand one runner. Birds had plenty opportunities to win this game but lacked timely hitting and defense lost focus. Drew Rom went 6 2/3rd innings, 13 K’s, 5 hits, 1 BB, 2 earned runs per game announcer. Hunter Dreves closed. #16 Ryan Nicholson started for St X. #2 Keller came in relief then closed by #3 Sweeney.
  11. Your right that is confusing. The bases were loaded then. Everything came from memory is my excuse!
  12. It was a pitcher duo until the 5 inning. Pacetti pitched 4 no hit innings. Dreves have up one hit in 4 innings. Then both teams exploded. Birds struck first with 4 runs on 3 hits. Hennigan with rbi single then Kavanaugh with 2 rbi triple. Kavanaugh scores on a wild pitch. Moeller strikes back with 7 runs on 3 hits. Top of the 7th, Birds scratch 3 runs to tie the ball game. Cooper Schwalback scores on wild pitch then runners on 2nd and 3rd with Trey Gabbard at the plate. He smacks one to 3rd Moeller attempts 5-4-3 doubleplay but Trey beats it out scoring both runners(Kavanaugh and Steiden). Bird fans going crazy but it didn’t last long. In bottom of the 7th Moeller’s #16 Hopkins with walkoff single for the win. Moeller pitched Pacetti 4 innings, #8 Lawson, #11 Treadway, and closed with #17 Logue.
