  1. That was the point of my question. I think everyone thinks Bailey is the weak link but I would be very interested to see if they pull him from the rotation. It would be a huge mistake to pull one of the young kids. They are all pitching well and are the future of this rotation.
  2. Very interested to see Harvey pitch again. Hopefully he can continue to pitch well and the Reds can benefit from the trade. I have to wonder who gets removed from the rotation when/if Disco is ready to go. I know he starts a rehab assignment this week.
  3. Nice win to start the road trip. The young pitching is starting to throw the ball well. Hopefully offense can continue to put runs up and give the pitching some support. I am tired of watching the Reds play from behind all of the time!!
  4. They are going to have to settle on Winker, Hamilton and Schebler as their everyday outfield. Duvall is in one of the worst funks I have ever seen. i don't see him coming out of it anytime soon. Not sure what they can do with him but they have to move on. Good guy, hate to see him struggle like he is.
  5. Like they said on the broadcast yesterday, Cleveland is not a very good team. Probably should be 8th on this list. But they have the best player in the NBA and he can be the difference. I think they beat Toronto but loose to Philly.
  6. I have to admit that I was a Hamilton fan in previous years but I am absolutely stunned at the number of chances that he gets to play on the regular basis. He shouldn't be starting and he definitely should not be leading off! Why can't they use him as a super sub. They can let him run in important situations in close games, let him finish games in the outfield as a defensive replacement. He can be an important player on this team but you can not continue to let him hit. He has proven that he can not get on base with any regularity.
  7. I think it will and should be Barry Larkin. Much like the Yankees did with Boone. I think the role of the manager has changed. More about managing ego's and communicating with players. The coaching part of it is becoming less important. You can surround individuals like Barry Larkin with good coaches to help with the X and O's.
  8. I like that he wants to take on the roll of hometown hero. He wants to be the first commit and work on other kids in the area. Fickell has done a great job getting the kids to work on recruiting.
  9. Perazza is in way over his head. Lost at the plate and a below average shortstop. Not that Pennington is the long term answer but I would feel better about him getting some starts. He showed off a pretty good glove the other day and looks like he can give some pretty good at bats. A major league team can not have two bats like Hamilton and Perazza in the lineup and expect to win.
  10. I know it is early but I really like the top 4 in the rotation. I think Castillo will get it together and have a very good season. Mahle and Castillo both have a chance to be top of the rotation guys.
  11. I really don't think that the starting pitching is going to be a problem this year. They don't have studs like the Nats do but I think we will get solid starts this year. It is going to be up to the offense to win games.
  12. Is this true? Didn't see end of game. Did Kentucky leave and not shake hands with K-State? Kansas State Wildcats players upset that Kentucky Wildcats players left court without shaking hands
  13. They are going to need Evans to get his game back in order if they are going to make a deep run. Not sure why but he looks very uncomfortable shooting the ball right now. Very hesitant. Hopefully he can see some shots go down today and get his confidence back.
  14. Get a win despite the poor shooting. 2 points total for Cumberland and Evans. Need to get perimeter game back in order.
  15. That is a problem! Love what Gary Clark has been able to achieve while at UC. Great kid!
