It's difficult to judge TN teams in their classification (Divison II Class AA). Maxpreps typically seems to over value that division it seems and most of the schools who compete in that division don't seem to play the powerhouses from the next division like MBA, Brentwood Academy, etc. With that said, it is not a bad brand of football by any stretch of the imagination. Say what you want about Philip Haywood, but he didnt become Kentucky's all-time wins leader by ducking competition. Love how Haywood has always been willing to "play up" against bigger teams. Whether in Kentucky or surrounding states he has never been afraid to take a chance at taking a "L" in the regular season to improve his teams. Despite winning 6 Titles Belfry has never had an undefeated season.

Like it.. might be biting off more than they can chew with Kettering Alter though. Hopefully they can add a solid game for their tenth. As it stands Belfry plays three State Runner-Ups from 2018

Very good program and a D-1 factory. Belfry played them in 2015 and 2016. In 2015, Belfry beat them soundly on Pond Creek. Catholic went on to win the TN 4A Championship. In 2016, Belfry turned it over like 6 times and lost soundly in Knoxville. That Mingo Cental game will be heavily attended. For those that don't now, Mingo Central is just across the WV border and won the WV 2A Title a couple years back now. Mingo Central has kind of received the red headed step child treatment in the area despite their title. This will be their chance to make a statement they ar eon the same level as the local Kentucky teams.

That four game stretch in the middle is the truth!

I bet Coach Hines at Pulaski County is in every single ear of the Boosters and BOE members. It is no secret a lack of a turf field has been a major thorn in Hines' side. With Somerset getting turf that will only make him get even more outspoken.
