Of that list I would cut immediately: Cincy- Too small, not enough prestige Indiana- Middle of the pack and limited shots at the Pros Ole Miss- Pending NCAA Sanctions imminent Miss State- The SEC West is brutal..your best bet is always an 8 win season and missing a bowl is highly likely Syracuse- Just not relevant Depending On His Aspirations For Education I Would Cut (in order): Purdue- Only if he wants to be an engineer..lower tier...

Alabama seems like the slam dunk but I am going to throw curve ball. If you come on board you are probably automatically coming on board behind two other All-Americans and you are also going to have another All-American getting signed next season looking to take your spot. If you feel confident you can work and be the best player on the roster it is a no brainer. No school offers a better chance at a National Title or a Professional...

I think this example is more of the byproduct of a the 4 year average enrollment more than anything. CAL is a trending school and becoming a hot commodity in East Louisville as a place to send kids. I am sure last year's enrollment is significantly higher than 3 years ago and even more higher than 4 or 5 years ago. Belfry's enrollment has plummeted over the past four years due to the Coal Industry being decimated. It fought valiantly for a...

Total It's actually funny seeing the disparity of Belfry vs. Central and then CAL in that program. Central's enrollment is well over 1000 students but Central is an outlier because it is a Nursing Magnet School where a much larger percentage of the enrollment is female.

One thing I found surprising: KHSAA 2A CAL's enrollment listed in the program: 660 3A Belfry's enrollment listed in the program: 634 My guess is this may be an indicator that one of those two, if not both, may be flipping classifications come the next alignment.

I have said it before and will say it again... people who think "recruiting" and transfers are bad in Kentucky has no clue compared to what goes on in major football states such as Georgia, Florida, Texas, etc

I would say they are the ONLY HS Facility in the State with LED Sports Lighter That's really cool and a wise move (especially with all the gripes about glare over the years). Out of personal curiosity I would like to know which MFG they used.

Not to be rude...but should that even matter for Taylor County? If this was a noted top level program who has been at a championship level then definitely I think it has merit for questioning, but this is Taylor County where a 2nd Round playoff appearance is a big deal. If they Administration feels Foley gives them the best chance to advance their program and is the best option for candidates out there then more power to them. I view it...

Any word on how the new school will effect Bryan Station? Will the new school pull some of the athletes from Bryan Station or will they remain in place?

Highlands is classic. Hoptown works as well. Harlan County I loved better when it had the bear paw by itself.. trying a little too hard now. Always liked Henry Clay and their use of script with a nice color scheme I hate that I like Hancock County because it is kind of loud, but doggone it I must admit it works for me Iroquois may be a bottom five helmet without a better explanation pending.

Etown is a team to keep an eye on. They finished 10-4 and reached the Semi-Finals and return the farm.

Louisville Central is the X-factor Had Scroggins stayed I would say they would easily be a Top 10 team with the young talent and experience they return. With the new coach being an unknown commodity I honestly don't know what to expect.

Whoa! Well best of luck to Lewis and hope he enjoys some time away.... one of the Top 25 jobs in KY just freed up. As for Lewis I am sure he will have plenty of people wanting him to return to the game and coach their program.

Nailed it Typically the only camps that get much stock put in them are Nike, Rivals, Under Armour, Army All-American, and NUC. NUC is a step below the others but still pretty reputable...but outside of those the odds are strong that it is nothing more than a money grab with very little chance of true collegiate exposure. FBU is good for younger kids not yet in High School. A good rule of thumb, as funny as it may be, is anything that...

Just saw where Birchfield and Hensley both were selected to compete in the NUC All-American Game Really nice honor! NUC isn't as prestigious as the Army All-American Underclassmen Combine, but it is pretty prestigious nonetheless. Great honor for these two Soph's to be selected.

Quality Schedule. I don't see any high end teams that you look and say "WOW! Boyle is going to be in trouble", but as mentioned there isn't a cakewalk in the lot. Ten teams who you have to show up and play and a handful of which that can beat you even when you bring it.

I want to pick fault at the schedule but I can't. If it were Male or Trinity playing that schedule, or another 6A powerhouse, it might be worth questioning. But this seems par for the course for how BG schedules and it has boded well to challenge themselves with a couple really hard games, three or four "solid but not great" teams that they are favored in and have to work but usually they win going away, and the rest games against weaker...

I am not sure about that.. Glasgow is a quality program but it's also a program with 0 State Titles. This is still a 5A school with a 5A population base. Not an easy job at all.. rural counties never are and Glasgow DOES hurt... Yet I would probably put these schools as being much tougher gigs right off the top of my head: Jenkins- Tiny District, low funding, much nicer county schools nearby with impeccable facilities Phelps-...

I think Boyle takes a significant step forward in 2017. They should be stout at the L.O.S. and have some high quality play makers littered across the roster. Reese Smith is a special talent and will be one of the top players in Class 3A this year as a Sophomore. To me the big key to Boyle's fortunes is how they protect the football and how well they tackle especially in the 2nd level. Last year it seemed those two things worked in...

I would list Johnson Central as a significant favorite in 4A to open the season with the talent they return alongside the margin of which they dominated the class in 2016. Wayne County will be stout, I think you see Mercer County get better, John Hardin should be a little stronger. Franklin-Simpson was hit hard by graduation, South Warren is gone to 5A, and truth be told I really don't see any other 4A teams who can play at the level of...
