Harvey looked to average close to 94mph with the fastball and had it up to 96 or 97 at least once I believe. Also threw a lot in the 93mph range. I know he hasn’t been good in quite sometime and this is only one start but you can see glimpses of his dominant self out there. He looked so composed, I really enjoyed watching him pitch. Hopefully he can build off of this is San Fran

9 games with the Reds now for Rosell Herrera. Only one start and one pinch hitting appearance. Hard to believe he hasnít gotten more of a chance on a team with two of the worst outfielders in Major League Baseball.

Sebastian Elizalde loaned to the Mexican League. Gosselin claimed by the Braves. Dilson Herrera promoted to Louisville where he has belonged all along.

He’s a swing for the fences guy. The only way he has any success is if a guy accidentally hangs one of those breaking balls that are supposed to be in the dirt. He can’t lay off the breaking ball. I fell asleep in the 7th but I see in the box score where Winker came in to pinch hit and came away with a hit. Winker needs to play everyday, no excuses.

Duvall picked off at second base with Suarez on first base and Barnhart at the plate with a chance to do some damage.

Duvall with two K’s already. Both with runners in scoring position. Herrera with his first big league hit.

The Reds have a few decent infield and outfield prospects. In the Outfield you have Siri, Trammell, Friedl, Aquino, Herrera to go along with Winker. Hopefully one of these guys can be the CF of the future. One of the infielder options below could also possible be an option to move to CF. In the infield you have Senzel, Long, Peraza (to early to give up on) to go along with Suarez. I think Senzel and Long are legit prospects, Senzel...

Heís our best strikeout option and heís our best Home Run option off the bench in that situation. Duvall flat out stinks. But hey thereís this guy name Rosell Herrera thatís had one AB in five games since being promoted. Maybe given him a shot wouldíve been an option.

Benny Snell, CJ Conrad, Denzil Ware, Josh Allen, Jordan Jones, Mike Edwards more than likely will be drafted next year. Am I missing anyone? Maybe Landon Young, Chris Westry, Derrick Baity, Lonnie Johnson.

Garrett Johnson and Austin MacGinniss both signed deals with the Bears. kayaune Ross signed with the Colts and Courtney Love with the Browns. Not sure of any others.

Large lead in the seventh inning and Hamilton comes in as a defensive replacement. I have no problem with it but seems like a great time to get Herrera out of the dugout and onto the field. Not saying he’s Hamilton in the field, in fact I have no idea what he is. Just feel bad for the way the Reds treat their recently brought up players letting them rot on the bench.

Iím not saying Herrera is anything special but he was swinging a hot bat at AAA. Throw him in there and see if he can stay hot, donít bring him up and let him rot on the bench. The reds confuse me. Heís younger than Duvall and was once considered a top prospect. Or let him play for Hamilton. The Reds have to have the worst offensive outfield in baseball outside of Winker but Ervin or Herrera cant get a legit shot.

Keury Mella has probably earned consideration to be the next SP brought up. He has dominated AA so far this year. Last night he tossed 7 shutout innings with 9 K’s and no walks.

Should’ve played Herrera over Duvall. Time to get Suarez some starts at SS as well to see how he looks there opening up third base for Blandino and eventually possibly Senzel.

Herrera seems like a super utility guy. I like the move to bring him up. I’m all for seeing some fresh faces on this team. Herrera was the 87th best prospect in baseball in 2013 and is a former futures game participant, he’s still just 25 years old. Should’ve released Duvall and made Ervin the everyday Left Fielder. Herrera should be given the chance to play CF a few times a week to see if somehow he could be a future piece there. From...

I had that thought about Ervin too. Hamilton doesn’t bother me too much in the 9 spot but I would like to see what Ervin could do with an extended look in CF. Hamilton needs to ditch the Switch hitting. What would there be to lose by experimenting with it? So he looses a half a step out of the box, doesn’t matter since he can’t put the bat on the ball consistently as lefty anyways. I know it’s been discussed before but he’s so much more...
