  1. Mullins is a great thing to happen to St. Henry. Kids will love him, he will love the kids, totally different program. Nothing against the past coach, kids will just love Mullins.
  2. Nice to hear that the hardware stayed local. The Roosters must have tired those boys from Michigan out running around those bases in this heat during that first inning:lol:. Roosters and the Colonels are two quality teams, too bad they didn't get to play in the final. Would have been fun to watch.
  3. At The Yard Roosters return from Nashville with a 3 and 2 record. They lose twice by a total of 3 runs; both times to a very good Music City Outlaws team (who the Roosters beat in June this year). After going 2 for 3 (1 loss to the Outlaws) in pool play the Roosters won against a solid Royals team from Canada in tourney play. Against the Royals, the Roosters were faced with a 7th inning deficit down 4 to 2. In the bottom of the 7th the Roosters start of by mustering in a run to make it 4 to 3. Then after loading the bases the Roosters drop a bomb on Canada (Welcome to the U.S...Eahh) with a walk off grand slam. Next up was the Outlaws, again. With an outstanding pitching performance by the Roosters in this game they fell short 2 to 1 at the end of the day. The Outlaws had to bring in their ace (a Vanderbilt signee) in the 6th. Although the Roosters didn't score on him, they had hit him very hard. The 6th inning started with a Rooster that almost took Mr Vandy signee's head off with a shot back up the middle and the game ended with a Rooster flying out with an opposite field fly ball at the wall at the 365 mark. The Roosters finish their season next weekend with a tourney in Cincy.
  4. The Roosters went 2 for 4 in pool play up north in the Black Swamp tourney in Bowling Green Ohio this weekend. The sticks went south and the errors went north for the first two games, then they got it right with wins against the Akadema Braves and Diamond Boys teams to finish off pool play. The Roosters are scheduled to play in Wheeling WV this weekend at the Beast of the East tourney
  5. Roosters spotted the Lumber kings 4 runs in the first inning and another 3 in the third but the Roosters were not going to get snuffed that easily. The Roosters pitching shut down the Lumber kings run production in innings 4 through 7 and put together some run production themselves scoring 5 runs and sending 3 Lumber kings pitchers to the bench early. Unfortunately the Roosters came up a little short in a game they got down early but kept swinging.
  6. Game was pretty much over by the 3rd inning. Roosters again display good pitching complimented by efficient hitting by the Rooster's roster.
  7. Ky Roosters finished in a three way tie in the tourney this weekend, only to lose out to a tie breaker - run differential. After losing to powerhouse Hit after Hit Academy, the Roosters came back to win a double header on Friday and beat an outstanding Franklin Outlaws team on Saturday who beat Hit after Hit causing a three way tie. The roosters were supported by very good pitching and batting. They scored around 25 runs in the 4 game pool play. Even with wood bats these kids flat out hit 1 through 9. The Roosters also have wins over Team Cincinnati and the Dayton Classics so far this season. They will be competing in the OhioValley Classic this week.
