  1. Only that the bunt attempt was botched and that now it is 4-0.
  2. Absolutely not. Not in my mind at least.
  3. I, too, heard reports of a good amount of passed balls/wild pitches. I wasn't there, however, so I have little credibility to go on. That's a shame -- I was looking forward to watching them play.
  4. One NFL football game is 6.25% (vs. 0.62% for MLB) of a season, therefore making it much more enjoyable to sit down and watch 3 hours of it compared to a baseball game from a game importance standpoint. That being said, I enjoy watching the two sports on a somewhat similar level.
  5. I am absolutely certain that this teacher made a similarly strong stand when President George Walker Bush was our Commander-in-Chief and was treated "disrespectfully"
  6. At some point, you guys will have to stop responding to baseball and overall statistical ignorance . Anyway, glad the Reds retain first place. I went to 4 games this past week (my first four of the season), and went 3-1. Not too shabby. I will say, the closer my tickets were to the field, the closer the Reds got to losing, so I'm thinking I'll stick with the $5 tickets.
  7. I just had no clue we had this many attorneys on Bluegrasspreps. The shame of it all is that there is little grasp on how the American legal system works. I hope I'm never on trial with about 50% of posters in this thread. Yikes.
  8. Think of P/E as how much money you'd pay for $1 of earnings. For instance, if Facebook's P/E is 108, then you're paying $108 for every $1 in earnings. That's the best way I can explain it. Any valuation I've looked at has told me to stay away for a while on this one. I am not at all interested.
  9. The dude is a machine. Awesome swing. I'd be lying if I said I didn't think it was about 10 feet short of the warning track when I saw it off the bat originally. Sweet.
  10. Thanks. I've always enjoyed reading your posts, as well :thumb:.
  11. I am so tired of the finger pointing. I hated it with President Bush who I support/supported. I hate it now with President Obama who I do not support/have not supported. Gay marriage is coming -- hopefully everywhere -- and its banishment in years past will seem as out-of-touch as not allowing women to vote or black individuals to drink at the same water fountain as white individuals. Glad to see President Obama support this, and I can only hope that the conservatives I back will open their eyes to it, as well.
  12. I have not decided if I'll be voting for Mitt Romney or not. As far as businesses being "holding the economy hostage," that notion is not necessarily true. It is my belief that the reason for the economy being somewhat "held hostage" is because of there being such a large amount of injected uncertainty by both Congress and the PotUS. For instance, the recent 2 month extension of payroll taxes. Business must see that as some sort of joke. How on earth can a business properly plan an accurate salary outlay for an employee if they don't know what the tax rates will be in two months? I am voting for Mitt Romney, because I believe he is the candidate to screw up the country less. As far as I'm concerned, to heck with the whole lot of them.
  13. It is just beyond me how a book that is supposed to bring people together, teach love thy neighbor as thyself, and last but not least inspire understanding breeds such an archaic and intolerant belief. I've said it once, and I'll say it again, the most religious people I know are the some of the most hateful, judgmental, and grossly intolerant people I know. Am I legitimately the only person who believes this is backward? People take their own lives over struggles with homosexuality and some have been beaten to death because of their affection for members of the same sex. I will agree that some who claim to be gay may not be and honestly may be making a big deal out of it for attention, etc. To lump every gay person, however, into a category of people that picks to be brutalized, isolated, and made fun of is as logical as someone who would pick to be in a wheelchair. You can spare yourself the time with Biblical quotes, too. I wouldn't believe God if He told me right now that people pick to be gay, nor would I believe Him that He loves them any less than He loves me. By the way, formerkywrestler, nice Leviticus quote. That was classic. Re-instilling my beliefs even further than the literal interpretation of the Bible and taking everything it says as undeniable fact is downright silly. Also, chalk me up as a feminine male, then as well. I have worn pink shirts.
