  1. The state already has a proposal for classification. You would have a final four for each classification followed by the 4 class champions playing for the outright champion. Its time.
  2. The 11th region is a legitimate All A region except for LCA: enrollment for each is under 350 students. Easier I suppose but a school with 400+ students has only won it 1 time in the last 6 years. Probably won’t be any easier, Frankfort has a lot of young talent on the way. I expect them to make a run for the next several years.
  3. I think it is time for classes. You would get more people involved across the state. You could still have a one true champion, just play a final four with the class champions.
  4. Coach Thomas is moving to be boys assistant. Any names yet?
  5. Coach resigning had to do with his retirement. Have not heard any news on candidates.
  6. If the high school coach is worth anything it would be them contacting schools and sending film.
  7. Coming off of this performance, BriAnna moved to within 19 points of former UL guard, Chris Current, for the All-time leading scorer in Frankfort basketball history. Earlier in the year she passed Sabrina Gordon, Tennessee State, to take over the girls top spot.
  8. Not a shocker to have middle school players on the bench, class A schools have to do it to survive. Maybe not every year but it is a common occurrence out of necessity.
  9. No both shot a fair amount. BriAnna Burbridge records 51 points, 25 rebounds, and 10 steals for Frankfort.
  10. Transfer Haley James (Scott Co.) should help along with emerging shooting guard, sophomore Ellen Williams.
  11. Frankfort returns one of the best players in the state in 6'1 Sr. Guard BriAnna Burbridge: 27ppg, 11rpg, 6 steals pg, 4 assists, and 3 blocks, along with 5'11 Center Jasmine Turpin 15ppg and 10rpg. Helped by young but experienced guards in Freshman pg TT Barnett and Shaylen Washington as well as sophomore SG's Ellen Williams and Kaylee Tillman and Scott Co. transfer Haley James. Turpin will be helped in the paint by 6'3 sophomore Grace Yocum and 6'2 Freshman Lexi Allen. Should be a good year for the Lady Panthers as an All A favorite and to compete in a district that has one of the best teams in the state, Franklin Co.
  12. The All A will always be dominated by the bigger Class A schools and private schools. It has never represented what it was intended to represent. Even if you limit the size, private schools will dominate but lets face it a public school with 300 students is not the same as a private school with 300 or it shouldn't be if they are doing it right.]I think it falls to the school, as a Northern Kentucky boy, I disliked them but I respected Highlands/Cov. Cath for playing up in football. They had the enrollment to play lower but knew they had the talent to compete at a higher level. I totally agree with a prior post, bringing up the regional dominance of private schools like Brossart, New Cath., and St. Henry. In the 11th, I believe only 4 years have been won by someone other than Lex Cath, Lex. Christian ( 14 years in a row), Sayre. It would be interesting if private schools were not allowed to attend, well at least the ones that hide behind their enrollment.
