I don’t think this will do anything to encourage the idiots. I believe those idiots are already carrying. I don’t think concealed carry laws did anything to stop the idiots from walking around strapped.

Seems hard to believe, but I tore my labrum 20 years ago diving for a ball in a baseball game. No contact, just landed awkwardly with my arm outstretched. So it's not impossible for a guy to have no previous issues, to wind up with a torn labrum.

My wife and I tried to go there years ago, and happened to go on a day they were closed. Haven't tried since. I think ownership has changed since then, but you are right...the parking lot is always empty. I'm not even sure the place is actually open.

I feel the same way(although my reading is done mostly electronically). My wife however, would rather watch tv, so we compromised, and we have a tv in the master bedroom.

I've looked into outdoor TV's (although it's been a couple years) and they were all really expensive. I'm probably going to go cheap on the TV and place it in one of the outdoor TV enclosures (which around $600-$800) and expect to replace the tv every couple years.

Ultimately, you have to do whatever you think is best for your kid. I can tell you, when my kids were at that age, I most likely would have stayed with baseball. That being said, if I had the same choice to make now, I’m not sure what I’d do. My oldest son played high level, travel baseball, and my youngest traveled all over wrestling. We often chose sports events over family events. As my boys got older though, they more often chose other...

That can be a bad stretch. Seems like every year there is an accident on that bridge where someone goes over the side. The absolute worst is when they make one of the 3 lanes of the westbound span into a third eastbound lane.

Grew up near the Delaware Beaches and Ocean City, MD, so for pure nostalgia purposes, they are still my favorite beaches. We keep going back to the Gulf Shores area, so those beaches are one of my favorite places to go.

My college was D1 in a few sports (Baseball, Lacrosse, Field Hockey) and D2 in everything else. 3 or 4 years after I left, the sports that were D1 dropped to D2.

My son wrestles at Bellarmine, and it's my understanding all sports will be going. Expect some transfers from any high level athletes in individual sports that have hopes of competing in the post season. According to my son, several wrestlers who have hopes of attending region/national post season tourneys have already entered the transfer portal.

Correct. I don't remember it being Germantown pizza (I'm not from this area), but did stop into Giuseppe's a couple times (it wasn't very good). From what the article said, Jones gets his hair cut at the barbershop next door, so that's the connection as to why he chose to open there. It's close enough that I'll give it shot, and if it's good, I can see going there a few times a year.

The same fan base that continues to make excuses for Pete Rose and begs for inclusion in the HOF, despite the fact that he flat out lied to everybody for 20 years. I get that he's got a really checkered past. But he also has done a lot of charity work, and is currently (literally) putting his money where his mouth is. Pretty much all everyone knows about the guy is what the media tells us. My guess is those calling him "worthless" or a...

What’s being forgotten in the Tunsil debate is that the climate towards weed has definitely changed since his draft 5 years ago. I’d be curious how things would shake out if that sort of thing happened today. I’m guessing he would still drop, but would it be as far?

I still think skyrocket is a strong word, even with edibles being part of the equation. I think the occasional user/try it a few times may skyrocket, but weed really isn’t for everyone. Not everyone who tries it is going to like it. Especially edibles. I have a relative who is an ER nurse in a large metro area where edibles are legal, and she’s seen a spike in THC od’s. Mind you, no ones dying, but lots of folks are having bad experiences. ...

Of course with all the current studies in regards to weed and things like pain management, dealing with anxiety, along with other mental issues maybe weed isn’t so bad for professional or other high level athletes. Weed certainly has to be better than treating some of these things with opioids.

I don't understand it either. But then again, I had no issues knocking back 8 or 10 the night before baseball games in college when we played at home. Of course I wasn't an elite athlete. I'm guessing I would have been better off smoking a joint, since I definitely would have gotten more sleep.

That would make things different. I think a high percentage of people would try it. I don't think a high (no pun intended) percentage would become regular users. I completely quit drinking almost 9 months ago, and am amazed at the number of people I've come across that don't drink.

I do think that number is too high. Very few of my immediate friends smoke, and most (including myself) wouldn't even know where to begin to even buy weed. And I think most would be put off simply because it is illegal, and because of drug testing. I'd be surprised if more than 20% of the population is using. Obviously, those numbers would go up if it were legal. But again, because of drug testing on the job, if weed remained...
