That can be a bad stretch. Seems like every year there is an accident on that bridge where someone goes over the side. The absolute worst is when they make one of the 3 lanes of the westbound span into a third eastbound lane.

Grew up near the Delaware Beaches and Ocean City, MD, so for pure nostalgia purposes, they are still my favorite beaches. We keep going back to the Gulf Shores area, so those beaches are one of my favorite places to go.

I believe they do get a "free" transfer. D2 transfer rules are the same as D1.

My college was D1 in a few sports (Baseball, Lacrosse, Field Hockey) and D2 in everything else. 3 or 4 years after I left, the sports that were D1 dropped to D2.

My son wrestles at Bellarmine, and it's my understanding all sports will be going. Expect some transfers from any high level athletes in individual sports that have hopes of competing in the post season. According to my son, several wrestlers who have hopes of attending region/national post season tourneys have already entered the transfer portal.

Correct. I don't remember it being Germantown pizza (I'm not from this area), but did stop into Giuseppe's a couple times (it wasn't very good). From what the article said, Jones gets his hair cut at the barbershop next door, so that's the connection as to why he chose to open there. It's close enough that I'll give it shot, and if it's good, I can see going there a few times a year.

The same fan base that continues to make excuses for Pete Rose and begs for inclusion in the HOF, despite the fact that he flat out lied to everybody for 20 years. I get that he's got a really checkered past. But he also has done a lot of charity work, and is currently (literally) putting his money where his mouth is. Pretty much all everyone knows about the guy is what the media tells us. My guess is those calling him "worthless" or a...

What’s being forgotten in the Tunsil debate is that the climate towards weed has definitely changed since his draft 5 years ago. I’d be curious how things would shake out if that sort of thing happened today. I’m guessing he would still drop, but would it be as far?

I still think skyrocket is a strong word, even with edibles being part of the equation. I think the occasional user/try it a few times may skyrocket, but weed really isn’t for everyone. Not everyone who tries it is going to like it. Especially edibles. I have a relative who is an ER nurse in a large metro area where edibles are legal, and she’s seen a spike in THC od’s. Mind you, no ones dying, but lots of folks are having bad experiences. ...

Of course with all the current studies in regards to weed and things like pain management, dealing with anxiety, along with other mental issues maybe weed isn’t so bad for professional or other high level athletes. Weed certainly has to be better than treating some of these things with opioids.

I don't understand it either. But then again, I had no issues knocking back 8 or 10 the night before baseball games in college when we played at home. Of course I wasn't an elite athlete. I'm guessing I would have been better off smoking a joint, since I definitely would have gotten more sleep.

That would make things different. I think a high percentage of people would try it. I don't think a high (no pun intended) percentage would become regular users. I completely quit drinking almost 9 months ago, and am amazed at the number of people I've come across that don't drink.

I do think that number is too high. Very few of my immediate friends smoke, and most (including myself) wouldn't even know where to begin to even buy weed. And I think most would be put off simply because it is illegal, and because of drug testing. I'd be surprised if more than 20% of the population is using. Obviously, those numbers would go up if it were legal. But again, because of drug testing on the job, if weed remained...

I've been to 9 of the top 10 largest Cities in the US which are New York, LA, Chicago, Houston, Philly, Phoenix, San Antonio, San Diego, Dallas and San Jose. San Jose is the only one I haven't been to, although I've only been in the airport at Houston. I've also been to Toronto (which would be #3 in the US) and Tijuana (which would be #10 in the US).

I was managing a sporting goods store in West Philly/Upper Darby, PA. I still vividly remember when the verdict was read, almost every employee, and person in the store at the time had stopped to watch because we had it on live. When he was found not guilty, nearly all of the 30 or so people watching in the store cheered. I knew tons of people that believed he was framed.

I've called several times for injuries one of my players has suffered in practice or games. At least 3 times I can remember. Called once to have the fire department come to my house when I smelled electrical smoke, but couldn't find the source. It ended up being the refrigerator. Called it a more than a few times during my retail career for incidents that happened in the store....once when pepper spray was discharged in the building, more...

That worked out well for KD. Kinda shows how ridiculous this whole question of ďis he quitting on his teamĒ was to begin with. Itís only going cost him all next season, and likely millions of dollars on his next contract. I understand the building the team angle, and having each otherís back, etc, etc. But you also canít compare Johnny QB skipping the Sun Bowl which means zero for everyone involved to a pro athlete playing for a...

I just don't understand why athletes are held to a different standard than the rest of us. It's ok for everyone else to protect their own interest, but athletes are expected to go above and beyond for the sake of everyone else, regardless of the impact it may have on their future earnings potential. An athlete's health directly affects their earnings potential. I'm ok with someone doing what they can to protect that. If they don't protect...
