Completely agree on Cheddar's. It's my wife's family's goto spot for family dinners, and it might be the most boring menu in the world. Although, I've never really ever heard anyone rave about it, so I'm not sure it's really overrated. Texas Roadhouse has always been good, although I've only been to the one in Fort Wright, and the one in Owensboro recently.

Good call. I loved Chipotle when it first showed up, but while I do occasionally still eat there, it's pretty much blah. I much prefer Hot Head Burrito's. I recently at at Wahlburger's in Cincinnati. The food was ok, but I didn't love it, and holy cow, was it expensive. Almost $70 for Burgers, fries, soda's plus a tip for my wife, son and I. Plus, we waited almost 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and the restaurant wasn't close to...

A good deli sandwich from a good Mom and Pop deli for sure tops Panera. Panera though is solid, and consistent, if not spectacular.

It's not cheap, but I wouldn't call it "obscenely overpriced". The food is pretty good (certainly better than most fast food), service is quick, and there's a decent variety of stuff to choose from. For the most part, you can get a soup and sandwich for right around $10 (not including the drink, which is normally water for me). I'll gladly spend that over spending $7 to get lunch at McD's, or other traditional fast food joints. $10-$12 for a...

On the home screen for the league, the very first tab is the draft tab. Click on it, and you’ll see a round by round, pick by pick list. You can then click on your team name at the top to see a list of available players ranked by ADP.

He’s getting closer. He probably won’t get to Jack’s number, but Tiger will win another major or two.

Scott has a very good backfield, and will be even better in the passing game this year. This won't just be the Quincy Perrin show on offense. This will be an interesting matchup.

I'm happy with the pick. I'm surprised at some of the receivers that came off the board before Hill.

I would guess somewhere near or in Louisville. That's the area where the most Little League baseball is played, and usually where KY's representative is from. Little League is virtually non existent in NKY.

Not to mention the fact that by dropping sports, schools would lose major touchpoints with the community. Sports help create and foster community involvement and interest in the school. Community involvement and interest is very important to the overall success of the school.

Agreed. You want to see numbers and participation drop? That’s what would happen if you dropped high school sports.

Small lineman, and not much speed isnt a good starting point for any offensive system.

Most offenses are going to be limited by lack of speed. Traditional Wing T is pretty adaptable. You can gain yards in the power game with belly, down and trap. And there’s enough misdirection off those plays to mix things up and keep a defense off balance.

That's how 16 team leagues are at RB. Too many RB by committee teams. There's only a few legitimate, every down backs now, with lots of plug in and pray guys.

Yep. Too far off the highway, too many traffic lights to go through to get there. And if you knew it was there, there’s a good chance you didn’t know what it was because there was zero marketing or promotion.

I know youve said you believe its not acceptable. But youre doing a really poor job of getting this point across. It just sounds a lot like youre looking to assign some culpability to the victim. I get that knowing why may satisfy curiosity, but ultimately, if a guy is smacking his wife around, unless his life is in danger, I cant think of a reason why his side of the story matters. I dont care if he has money problems, if she cheated,...

It's absolutely worth studying on a larger scale. Even the source I linked only drew results from about 2500 concussions....I don't remember enough about statistics to be able to say if that's a large enough sample to be relevant. But it is a start, and it does look directly at High School football. Between high school and middle school, I see maybe a handful of concussions every year (3-6 roughly), and almost all of them are helmet to...

Completely agree. When concussions occur in games, I go back and look at the film to see how it happened. Many times, I'm unable to see the cause. My son had one concussion in high school (which happened to be on a kickoff), and I never even realized he had suffered one until he was being looked at by the trainer....and I even watched him during the play. I think what this shows, is that it doesn't require great force or impact to cause a...

I don't disagree that the HS game is vastly different from the college, and certainly the NFL game. And perhaps you stats are accurate....I have no way of knowing. But I'm not sure I agree with your 90% number, especially the part about players being knocked on their back. That is absolutely one way concussions occur. However, in my 30+ years around high school football as a player, coach and parent, I've seen many concussions (and had a few...

Injuries may not occur at that rate some think. But NFL stats do show that you are 5x more likely to suffer a concussion on a kickoff than a regular play. Even though almost half of the kickoffs result in a touchback. And that’s down from several years ago before some of the current rule changes AND concussions weren’t even diagnosed as often, before current protocols. At the very least, that’s significant, and worthy of discussion.

I'm with you on the tomato, lettuce, and onion thing. While I like all of those things, I don't want or need them on a deli sandwich. The only exception is on an italian sub, which sadly around here, you cannot get one as good as they are in the Mid Atlantic States (PA, DE, NJ).

WHAT!!!!! Spent my first 27 years living either in or within 1.5 hours of Philly, and eating Cheeseteaks all over the Greater Philly area. Mayo and mustard are NOT acceptable condiments for a real cheesesteak. If it’s a cheesesteak hoagie, THEN mayo is fine. But never mustard. I can’t even fathom putting mayo and mustard in a regular cheese steak.

For what it’s worth, I would think Villa would either go to Dixie or Beechwood (not SK) and Calvary would go to Scott (which is maybe a mile away) instead of Holmes. As far as the idea, there’s lots of questions. I’m not opposed to the idea, but how would you classify teams in this situation as this would kind of skew numbers? Also, do those who attend private schools without teams get a choice to play for a co-op team in states that...

Realisticly, kickoffs are far from 1/3 of the game. Kickoffs make up around 5-8% of the total plays in a NFL game (7-10 a game). And you really wouldn't be removing a play, you'd just be replacing it with another play, as the first offensive play would take the place of a kickoff. I have no idea what those numbers look like for high school, but I really don't think kickoffs would be missed all that much. As far as the practice portion, as...
