Maybe I'll take longer than 2 1/2 days to watch season 2. Very few shows I get excited about and this is one of them.

Big difference between ridicule and saying the guy isn't a great baseball player or QB. It's probably more common to see people professing his greatness that simply doesn't exist.

I haven't heard anyone here say they don't like him. I don't really no anyone that can't stand the guy. He still sells football jerseys and he's been out of the league for 3 years, and fills minor baseball stadiums despite the fact that he's not a great player. He might the most popular, most liked athlete of his generation.

Sorry I didn't catch the sarcasm in your original post. It was much clearer in the response above. I'll just stay quiet and let all the smart guys do the talking...I'll just worry about winning. Carry on....

Completely agree. It's a great gig if you can get it. I only point that out to folks who still believe that Tebow keeps getting treated unfairly because of his beliefs.

Doesn't matter who your kicker is. Kickers, like defenses, are completely random in scoring. And the difference between a top kicker and lower ranked kicker over the course of a season isn't very much.

Don't know. Remember too, that Tebow never played ball above High School. Which makes what he's accomplished so far even tougher. Another question to ask, is how many athletes would get the same chance to try that Tebow did?

I hadn't know either until I saw Robert Hazard for the 1st time in the late 80'/early 90's while I was in college. He introduced the song as a "pretty big hit" that they wrote and recorded in 1979. When they started playing "Girls Just Wanna Have fun" my friends and I looked at each in shock.

Anyone aware that Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" wasn't originally written or recorded by her?? The song was originally done by Robert Hazard and the Hero's, who was one of the most popular local Philly bands in the 80's, and had a couple minor hits "Escalator of Life" and "Change Reaction" that got a lot of airplay on MTV.

Missed driving through the Tornado that ripped through Blue Ash by a couple minutes. Got caught in a rip current at Rehoboth Beach when I was 19, spent what seemed like an eternity underwater completely under the control of the ocean, and then just got spit out of it and into calm water. I love the beach but rarely go into the ocean now, and never when it's rough. Once while pitching, had a line drive hit back at me that hit the bill of...

I don't use it much, but recently got a $20 Uber voucher for $10. I used to work in the Daily Deal space, so I'm really familiar with how everything works. When I worked in the space, I bought lots of daily deals, and rarely had problems. And most problems are merchant related.

Yes and no. In a servers case, he/she is almost totally dependent on tips based on interactions with different customers, of different needs, on a minute by minute basis. And servers often get needlessly stiffed for no good reason other than the customer is a jerk or is having a bad day themselves. No one is perfect. I've made mistakes in my job, but I don't get docked pay. You are right in the sense that if I don't perform, there are...

Groupon is legit and was often (and still can be)a great deal for customers. They are the only one left of the Daily Deal sites (Living Social and Dealchicken were the other big two in the space). However, the industry died simply because it was a bad deal for the merchants. Pre-selling goods/services at 40-50% off and splitting the income with the Groupon (or whoever the deal site was) generated a lot of traffic, but often cost merchants big...

Shouldn't need to call. Groupon goods returns can be initiated through the website (with exceptions--like if it was bought through a third party site, is a final sale item, or is over 14 days) Not sure if you have seen this, but here's a link the walks you through the return process. It's pretty simple and shouldn't require any picture or anything out of the ordinary. I've done this before and it worked exactly like the video describes. ...

I can understand why you didn't tip well in that situation. But not tipping well, probably cost the busboy (that did a good job) a little, as they usually get a percentage of the servers tips.

Not quite. I said . I do not believe it is an unskilled position. Every job, no matter how menial we think it may be requires some sort of skill in order to be able to do it. If anything, the fact that a server could come home with less than minimum wage after a shift, while being required to serve all customers various, differing needs, and serve them efficiently and with a smile, no matter what, I'd say servers are often underpaid.

I have a hard time being super critical and using withholding my tip for somebody who is expected to do a song and dance to try make me happy while dealing with lousy managers, co-workers and other customers who are either mean, borderline sexually harassing them, or just exceptionally needy, and rowdy kids who throw food and spill every other drink they get. Serving is a thankless job, one that I could certainly never do, and one where they...

It's easy to label Tiger as druggie or tool (and certainly he wasn't always the nicest guy during his prime). But again, it seems to me like this guy is suffering from pain. 4 back surgeries (which doesn't seem to be offering any relief), and knee surgeries which have pretty robbed him of his career, endorsements, and perhaps the ability to even live a normal life, it's easy to see how he could end up where he's currently at. All the money in...

Agreed. You could dump food in my lap, and as long as you said sorry, and helped make it right, you're still getting a tip. Accidents, and mistakes happen. No other occupation that works so hard, gets punished and nickel and dimed so harshly on a daily basis for simple mistakes and misunderstandings than servers.

Do you experience those problems often? We eat out a fair amount of times, and I can't remember the last time I docked a server on their tip. Maybe I don't expect much, or I'm too nice. But I can't imagine this happening all that often (especially since I almost never have it happen to me), because that server won't last long. At worst, my servers are efficient and pleasant. Whether they stop by my and ask me how everything was is way low...

Don't know. This was a Kenton County only scrimmage which is held every year as a fundraiser for charity. Just mentioned Campbell because they are in the league, and are the defending champions.

I've played there and tipped the starter. Don't know Coach Ray, but who ever it was, they gladly took it. In hindsight, I've mostly played with my father in law either at a club where he is a member, or on a resort type course, so the standards in those situations may be a little different than your average public course.

The starter always seems to accept my tip like it's completely normal:lol2: Honestly, I started doing it because my father in law has always done it when we've played together. I just assumed it was something that should be done. Again, I only do a couple bucks. I feel like it's gotten me a couple earlier starts on the 10th tee instead of waiting in line on the 1st.

Always a fun event. Teams still working on a lot of stuff, all really only had 1 week of contact prior to the scrimmage. Woodland and TF 8th was close, with Woodland scoring 3x and TF scoring once. I'm sure all teams will be get better over the coming weeks. And Campbell County will likely be solid as usual. Should be a fun season.

Yes. That's why I said Scott County or adding a Cincinnati/Ohio team would be a good idea. Looking at their schedule, I think they've tried to beef it up. Bryan Station has been a competitive team more often than not, and Meade County was a semi-finalist 2 years ago. But yes, Scott County or Lafayette would be better games than either Bryan or Meade. People are killing them for scheduling Beechwood, but Beechwood beats bigger schools all...
