I'm guessing I still can. I exclusively drove a stick for almost 10 years. Problem is I haven't driven one in 23 years. And I don't miss driving one at all, so I'll likely never find out if I can still drive a stick.

Did it, was really good at it, but hated almost every minute of it. Took me 17 years to finally summon up the courage to walk away.

That’s where I’m at as well. The only issue I have is they spent all these years shocking and surprising us, and in the end, suddenly, everything wraps up neatly.

I said earlier in this thread the season felt rushed. I feel even more so now. This season was all about getting to the end quickly.

Iím not aware of any that were held for my kids that all recently graduated here in Kenton County or for myself that graduated 31 years ago in a different state. I had no idea what they were and had never heard of such a service before this thread.

Huge advantage, and really unfair to the others who had to claw, lie and fight for 6 weeks, where he just got to hang out and build relationships stress free on ?Extinction Island. Plus it made for really bad TV, as the winner got virtually no air time most of the season. I understand the premise and why you'd want to give those voted out a chance to come back into the game. But the way it was done this year added no drama, or suspense to the...

Agreed. Two people in the finale 4 who got voted out at some point, and the winner spent 28 out of the 39 days out of the game, interacting with most of the jury. He never had an opportunity to really screw anyone over, or make any enemies. No one who gets voted out in the third episode and spends 3/4 of the game on the outside doesn’t deserve to win. He played great those last 4 days but he should have never even had a chance to win.

I know they are actively working on it. I know the football job took a long time to fill, but that was a unique situation and the delay was tied to what teaching positions would be open. That’s not an issue in this case, and I would guess the hire would happen much sooner. The boys position was filled in late May when Fromeyer was hired.

I've got Victoria, who I have a hard time rooting for, since she really hasn't done or accomplished anything in her time on the island.

I loved Looney Tunes growing up, and at one time had a boxed set on DVD. Looking back on them now, some of the humor wouldn't fly today. There were a lot of other Hanna-Barbera cartoons that I also enjoyed beyond the ones mentioned in the poll. Huckleberry Hound, JabberJaw, Yogi Bear etc. I also really enjoyed Starblazers and can remember running home from the bus stop so I could get home in time to see the start of the next episode.

I would agree that this was handled clumsily. They had done such a good job of building the character over 7 seasons, and while I think everyone knew where this was going, it ended up being a rush to get there. This whole season, while entertaining, just feels rushed.

How could anyone be surprised at Dany? How many people has she killed watched burn or have killed over the length of the series? She's been ruthless since she came into any power. And now that her world has fallen apart (she's lost her best friend, her protector, two of her three "children", her love has rejected her, and her hand has failed her a few times), is it really so hard to believe she snapped?

I’m with you. I have Victoria in the BGP pool and I really don’t even care if she wins. I’m rooting for Devens. If he doesn’t win I’m going to be disappointed. There’s never been a more annoying final group.

Ties bother fans more than players. I played football in HS with no overtime, unless it was a playoff game, and was involved in a couple ties, one in a rivalry game. And I can’t say I had any of those feelings you mention. In fact I remember being glad one was over because it was the most physical, toughest game I ever played in. I hate college overtime, because it screws around with the rules, artificially starting drives deep in the other...

I haven’t been in a movie theatre in over 10 years. But there is no other choice but popcorn. I guess pretzels or nachos would be the next choice. I don’t dislike all the candy choices, I just don’t eat all that much candy.

Is the rate of alcohol issues worse in the NFL than it is in everyday walks of life. Addiction affects all walks of life....it's just that the NFL is a very public walk of life. If Zeke's dad was a plumber and made a call to get him a job in the plumbing industry, I'm guessing it wouldn't even warrant a mention.

I’m not. Again, as I said before, your not putting the shift on with runners on base. And your also assuming that the bunt will be successful every time. That’s not going to happen. Guys who haven’t been asked to bunt their entire lives, will not be successful even 50% of the time. It still will take a really good bunt to get on. So the real question you have to ask is would you rather have Sanchez, Stanton, or Judge bunting for a hit or...

True. But he isn’t going to be successful bunting all the time either. If he bunts he’s got zero chance of an EBH or HR.

Well the shift usually doesn’t get put on with runners on, so the next guy likely isn’t bunting. Think about it this way. There’s no guarantee the bunt will beat the shift to begin with. Not just any bunt will do. It’s got to be a perfectly placed, hard bunt, in order to be successful. Even good bunters won’t be successful all the time, let alone someone who doesn’t bunt well. Pitchers will also be pitching up and in... not an easy...

It's not about ego. If I put a shift on, and your big basher is bunting the ball, I win that battle, even if he gets on. I'm perfectly fine if he goes 4-4 with 4 bunt singles. You're still effectively taking the bat out of his hands.

Definitely fried chicken, but I really don't think of that as a purely southern thing. I like BBQ, but it's everywhere now, and quite frankly I'm just burnt out on it. The only chicken & dumplins I could ever eat was my Aunt's, and she basically ruined it for me, as I've never had anything close to how she made it. Catfish grosses me out, and biscuits and gravy is an abomination to breakfast food.

I've never owned one, but have friends that do. While they look cool, I hate the way they drive. Not comfortable or practical, unless you do a lot of off road stuff. It's a vehicle that simply isn't built to shuttle kids, carry cargo, or be any kind of a daily driver. But if you love the way it looks, and are willing to deal with the limitations, or a just want something as a fun vehicle to drive around and stand out from the crowd, go for...

So true. It’s easy to blame the parents. But I don’t know how any responsible, loving parent doesn’t do everything they can possibly do to help their children out. Some parents just have a higher capacity to do so. Unless you’ve been in that situation, you have no idea how difficult it is to watch your child struggle. If I could make a call to get my kid a tryout on an NFL team, or a super high paying, great job, I'd have been on the...

It’s a real issue. My son wrestled for Bellarmine, which is still a new program. They had their first D2 national qualifiers this year, and will likely grow that number in the coming years. If they move to D1, they might lose those guys to transfer. Not only that, it will set the program back because what high level recruit would not want to compete for National titles.

Yep. And with a transition to D1, there would be the mandatory 4 year exclusion from post season play. Some of the current athletes there aren't happy, especially those in individual sports. This post season waiting period, is another reason why I don't think Bellarmine would even be on the radar for Ohmer.

Has Ohmer been linked to Bellarmine? I don’t think they were ever in play when he was being recruited in high school, and I’m not sure they’d be in play now.
