Awful may be a little strong of a word. I’m thinking it’s probably all relative. It may not be worth a million $’s. But it’s probably like the old saying...even a bad day of fishing is still a pretty good day.

I find it extremely annoying, especially when they’ve just watched me checkout. That being said, I worked in retail for over 15 years, some of that time in Loss Prevention. And I completely understand why they do it. Heck, we used to basically pat employees down (visually..empty your pockets, let me inspect your jacket or bags) every time they left the building. Don’t take it personally, and don’t make a bigger deal of it than it actually...

First, if you have a gas drier, you don’t want to do this, as the exhaust vent is also the combustion vent, and you don’t want those contents (carbon monoxide) venting in your house. As far as electric driers, I imagine you could do this, but still I think there are more issues than it’s worth. One is figuring out where to direct the exhaust to get the most effectiveness. Second, drier exhaust is full of moisture and while some moisture is...

Are you saying that others from states where basketball is classed wouldn't answer the same question the same way?? Do you think KY football players, and track/cross country athletes don't value their state titles because there are multiple classes? I get it. It's a great story once every couple decades when a small team makes a nice run. But the landscape of High School sports has changed dramatically over the last few decades. There is...

Well aside from district play, you can pretty much play whoever you want. I doubt schedules would have to change all that much.

Sorry, but participation trophies aren’t a recent phenomenon, and classing sports doesn’t mean everyone get a trophy. It’s a lazy argument, and one that doesn’t hold any water.

And Delaware only has about 70 or so basketball playing schools. I’m guessing Alaska probably has even less. There no logical reason for KY not to class all the major sports. Just because you’ve always done something one way, doesn’t mean it’s the right or best way.

As others have mentioned, Vegas isn't worried about being right. They just need enough action from both sides of the line to make sure they win enough "juice". They aren't geniuses at picking games correctly They are geniuses at making money of people betting sports.

It’s been a couple years, but last time I went it cost $49.99/ person although you can catch discounts every now and then. Food is very good. My recommendation is to be patient. The really good cuts of meat come around less often. No need to eat any chicken especially. Hold out for what you really want and take your time. The salad bar is big, and very good too and can at least keep you busy while waiting for the good stuff. It is all you...

I don’t see any issues with the occasional Thursday night game, especially if it comes with television exposure. I wouldn’t however want to do this more than once or so a season.

About 534,000. Kentucky High Schools In 2015/16, about 80,000 played sports. 7/12/16 – KHSAA Participation Numbers Reach Record Levels In 215-16 | Kentucky High School Athletic Association So roughly, transfers involve about .8% of the student athlete population. Someone tell me again how rampant the transfer problem currently is??

I'll never get all the resistance to seeding. I get that people fear it not being done fairly, but yet not seeding, and keeping things random, is perhaps the least fair way to hold a tournament. It's not really all that difficult. If I can seed a wrestling tournament with 200 kids from all over 3 states, surely someone can properly seed 4 football teams.

Not only can those dogs you listed kill, those breeds were the ones killing the most people. Pit Bulls have only been public enemy number one in the dog world for the last 20 years or so. Before that, it was Rotts and St Bernards. Remember the movie Cujo?? That breed wasn't just chosen randomly chosen. And now, are those breeds suddenly safe and not dangerous?? Heck, there was a year that dachsunds were the breed that caused the most deaths....

It’s not really confirmable until we see if they’ve petitioned to continue playing up a class. Playing in 4a where their enrollment puts them wouldn’t surprise me, but them playing up again wouldn’t surprise me either.

Especially when there's a hundred other competitors out there that will be willing to do the work. You can't throw a rock without hitting a custom sports apparel shop.

Some of the districts as they are currently listed look a little goofy. I'm sure these will change, especially after schools decide to play up (or get pushed down because someone wants to play up).

Scott is currently 4a. I believe during the last alignment, they were in line to be the smallest 5A school, but got pushed down when a couple teams petitioned to play up. East Jessamine is also already 4a.

Maybe. I know I'm not anywhere near as close to the situation as you, but I saw them up close on the field for four years, and they improved every year during that time. By no means were they a great team...but they were slowly becoming more and more competitive and heading in the right direction...at least from what I saw in person, and on film.

Going winless while not playing a district schedule certainly isn't a good thing. It had really felt like things were turning around when Siple was still there. But then he left, and they went from being in a really tough district (with South Oldham, Scott, Conner, and Cooper) to being stuck in a district with Cov Cath and Highlands. That double whammy has really hurt the program just when things were starting to improve.

Again, the question was, how not playing in district has a negative effect on participation. At least not playing a district schedule for a couple years gives you the flexibility to schedule 3 other teams that are much closer to your level. I think playing out of district long term would be a bad thing. But right now they are at ground zero, and this gives them a chance to at least make the process of building more manageable. They won't be...

Channel 9 is calling for 4-6 or more depending on how long the ice portion of the storm lasts. Channel 12 is calling for 2-5 with .2 of ice Channel 19 is calling for 4-7 All are saying there is a ton of uncertainty and these totals could change. Channel 5 seems to be the most conservative.

Yep. If the coach just goes in and orders the stuff under his name, the vendor has no idea if kids will end up wearing the uni's, especially if they are all adult sizes. The custom sports apparel business is a tough, competitive business. I'm sure some might, but I'm guessing more than a few wouldn't turn this type of order away.
