I'd disagree that it's not new. Almost everyone who has played the game, starts with the cheaper questions, and rarely use the daily doubles to their max or near max value. He finds the daily doubles because he doesn't mess around with cheap questions early, as the daily doubles are typically in higher value questions. This makes sure he has a high bankroll when he finds the DD. Granted, it takes some luck, and skill to make this work. But...

Yes. One of the matches, he played a perfect round, answering every question that he buzzed in on correctly. He is literally going to change how the game is played going forward. He has embraced game theory, and is using a strategy to maximize the amount of money won.

I can’t get iced coffee down. There’s just something about iced coffee that’s completely vile to me.

I’m not a big coffee drinker. I have the occasional cup but only when it’s cold outside. My coffee drinking is pretty much limited to December through March. I don’t see how people can drink it when it 90 degrees outside. If coffee suddenly was made illegal, I wouldn’t miss it one bit.

They lose a lot. Hunter, Meister, Ohmer, Joyce, Simpson. 10 seniors on last years team. But, there is a lot of talent in the pipeline. They will be young and inexperienced next year, but could be dangerous as they gain experience as the season goes on.

Tiger winning is also going to make the upcoming US Open at Pebble must watch, and if he's on the leaderboard on the weekend Tigermania will be in full overdrive. This Masters was a great watch, seeing Tiger win a major not only after all these years, but in a way he's never won before. For the most part, in the past, he just overwhelmed the field. To win this one coming from behind, was really fun to watch.

Then your comments really surprise me. I can't speak for what happened or what is was like prior to the last 15 or so years before my involvement with the school. And while there are issues (none of which are unique to Scott), I've got nothing but good things to say about the experience that my kids, and many of the families I know have had there.

Stop it. Have you spent a day in the building? Do you get to spend any time with any of the students, faculty, coaches or administraion? That reputation is there because folks who have no connection to the school and really don't know keep bringing it up in situations like this. Get to know some parents and students before speaking about how "bad" the school is. And yes, I take this very personally.

Like many schools it's numbers. Girls are being pulled up in 7th and 8th grade to fill Freshman and JV numbers, leaving the middle school teams thin. Plus, many times, the girls being pulled up aren't always ready, sometimes hampering their development. This is a problem in many girls sports.

I've seen more obnoxious adults than infants/children on flights. Being older doesn't prevent someone from being an annoyance.

Nearly every major sport at Scott will have replaced coaches in the last 3 years. Football, Boys and Girls Basketball, Girls and Boys Soccer, and Baseball all have new coaches since 2016.

Unless you are hiring a paraprofessional, teaching positions are going to impact the hire, especially if you have out of area candidates. Nobody is going to move for just the football job.

It’s been open since November. From what I’ve heard they are down to a final 5 or so. I’ve heard a few names, but I’m not sure enough to share publicly, (and I probably wouldn’t even if I were 100% sure of the names). I’ve heard the delay is related at least partially to what teaching positions will be available. Probably still at least a week or two away from the job being filled. The boys soccer job just got filled a few days ago so I...

I'll never understand the love for Ranch Dressing. I don't dislike it, but it seems like it has become a condiment that people eat on everything. As far as salad dressing, I do balsemic vinegaratte or caeser most of the time. Ken's dressing has a Valdalia Onion dressing that is really good.

And to note, you can choose to just turn off Amber Alerts, and leave the other emergency alerts on. In all honesty though, the value these alerts provide, IMO, far outweigh any minor inconvenience they cause.

Same thing. I watched some of the first week games because it was on at a bar my wife and I had dinner at. Otherwise, I haven't even stumbled across any games. And from looking at the recaps I've seen here, I probably wouldn't have watched very long if I had.

For years People have been telling football coaches they should encourage their players to wrestle, because of the clear links and many success stories, and many in this state refuse to listen. I doubt it would be any different with lacrosse.

I’ve got graduations and weddings this year that will take up some of my time, but the wife and I are heading to Jamaica in November to celebrate (belatedly) our 25th wedding anniversary. We are in the early stages of planning a 2020 trip to Chile.

The AAF is claiming the NFLPA is not cooperating and allowing the AAF to use their young players, thus making it difficult for them to be a "Developmental" league. Really why would the NFLPA let them use their players? Risk of injury alone is enough for any even borderline NFL player to say no. I still say it's about money. I love football. But I've watched maybe one half of an AAF game, and it's just ok football. Since their opening...
