RIP. Way too young. Hard to imagine the child celebrity life and how it affects a person long term.

Agree. I get 20 minutes for lunch one week, 35 min for lunch alternating weeks. Priority 1 is restroom. Then it's one handed finger food while I'm checking emails. Sliced cucumbers, carrots, grapes, almonds, cheese cubes. I stalk up on those premade "protein packs".

Similarly, I have always understood the phrase, "I don't care to", to mean that you DO NOT want to do something, go somewhere, eat something, etc. My daughter has been at UK the last 4 years. From her roommates that are from all over Kentucky, she now uses the phrase, "I don't care to", to mean that IT DOES NOT MATTER to her either way--l don't care what we do, I don't care where we go, etc.

Agree. Also, some time ago, the word "amazing" became way overused in the movie industry by actors. At the Oscar acceptance speech, referring to the other nominees, "Her work is amazing." "He is an amazing director." "He writes amazing scripts." Etc etc

"To be honest with you, because normally I lie." I have been using this phrase and it's fun to watch people do a double take."

Agree. Brave group of workers. They put themselves in harms way. What if the killer suspected that they were on to him and tried to kill the workers? I say give them the money and a hero's reception. We can all sleep a little better because of their actions.

I grew up in a place called "Kalb Community". We stepped outside and the only thing that mattered was that there were other kids to play with. White, Black, Hispanic, Oriental. It did not matter. All of our dads reported to the same Commanding Officer. When I graduated from high school, I went to college back in "the world". (That's what we called "the states".) I could not believe the segregation in the city. Blacks and Whites lived no where...

Thank, Clyde. I'm on Spring "Break from grading papers" and was thinking of downloading this. Came to this thread, looking for validation. A Clyde validation is about as good as it gets.

Life is short. Regardless of your beliefs, try to take the high road. Always. People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway. If you are honest and sincere people may deceive...

Tuna melt or tuna and crackers. If there is a can/packet of tuna in the pantry I'm good to go.

Criminal act. Replace criminal act for charade. "And that she likely would be continuing the criminal act, but unfortunately, she got caught."

This thread continuously brings me to this thought. This young lady did something pretty bad that affected many people. Nobody knew of her mental disorder. She was in a college environment co-existing with other people. Then BAM. She pulls this stunt. 1. Is she a criminal? If yes, check this box and she takes the full heat of the law. 2. Or is she mentally ill? Is this is an attention seeking disorder or a Munchhausen disorder that cannot be...

    1. This young lady committed a crime that made the local news. 2. This young lady is an adult. 3. Sane people commit crimes. 4. Mentally ill people commit crimes. 5. Sane people's crimes are discussed in social media--it happens. 6. Mentally ill people's crimes are discussed in social media--it happens. 7. Some people, sane or mentally ill, may steal $7k from their school, from their place of business, from a bank, from their family...

Making a mockery of all those who have suffered, died, or lives changed forever by this dreaded disease, in addition to breaking the law. She needs to take the heat for this. No sympathy until she does.

Makes me sick to my stomach. Trying to find the sympathy. Just cannot. Meanwhile, at 3am this morning, a precious little girl lost her long fight to cancer.

I believe the children are our future Teach them well and let them lead the way Show them all the beauty they possess inside Give them a sense of pride to make it easier Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be Everybody's searching for a hero People need someone to look up to I never found anyone who fulfilled my needs A lonely place to be
