  1. Hey scout, I am not looking to fight with any members here on BGP. I want to ask tough questions and CovCath struggling with Cooper says they are in for a healthy dose of average.
  2. I am not doubting Pike at all, I think he is a fantastic football player. My beef is with the coaching staff if they play him at QB and then expect him to bang on defense the whole game. Again, I am not doubting Pike at all.
  3. Good point qryche but Mayfield has to be the favorite over Beechwood at this point. The bigger issue is Conner. If you are a 6A team you can't get your lunch handed to you by a 1A team no matter how good that 1A team may be. Is Conner low on talent or are there other issues?
  4. I am not sold on Simon either but if Holmes got handled by a strong 2A team how in the heck are they going to compete against a strong 6A team?
  5. I think if Pike is going to play QB for Dixie then his handlers should let him play one way. If he is going to play any other position on offense then have at it and put Pike on the field every play. What else does Dixie have at the QB position?
  6. There is no way on Earth that either Coach Beatty or Coach Mueller are happy at all giving up that many points. Don't for a minute tell me that somehow Highlands give less effort in a scrimmage. Highlands never gives less effort. Hey Walter, you really think Highlands is better than X this year?
  7. I disagree, last year was middle of the road at best for CovCath. Based on the games played and Ryle and Johnson Central handing CovCath their hat I don't see anything to boast about. Didn't CovCath struggle with Woodford too? You watch, it will be another middle of the road year for CovCath. CovCath should be beat an upstart program like Cooper as bad as they want to.
  8. 42 and 49 points are a lot. I know these are two of the best programs in KY but giving up all those points has to be a concern, right? For Trinity, X has to be licking their chops. For Highlands the outlook isn't as bad because the new 5A has been so weak. But either way this is a concern, right?
  9. Ouch! Kuddos to Cooper but this is going to be yet another long year for the Colonels. Will 2010 be Brossart's fault too?
  10. With Holmes getting beat by NCC in a scrimmage I can't see them having any chance against Simon. I suppose it is good for Holmes to scrimmage Simon but it should be Simon by as many as they want.
  11. Is anyone surprised Pike is playing both ways? After all, we are talking about Dixie's coaching staff. You know what every team is going to do, they are going to really get after Pike on D. At the least it will hurt his offensive performance and at worst the grind could be too much to make it through the entire season. Pike is a great talent but he has the wrong handlers.
