Just one of those teams that have their number. It has been ugly this year. They could possibly see them two more times, more than likely one.

Also as a school district, you never share your Evacuation Plans and Intricacies of the plans with the general public or shouldn't. In reality though, if someone wanted to find out it would not be difficult to get. There is information on where you will transport students if you evacuate for some reason. If there were numerous persons involved or the shooter gets away like the one Friday. They could wait at the site where a district moves...

True, if they enter the room where you are hiding throw anything and start attacking in mass.

We, via the Kentucky State Police Active Shooter Training, train to run if you can, hide and barricade next, and then fight if you have to. The State Police do train you to scatter in the room and not cluster. They learned from Sandy Hook that clustering probably cost more children their lives. I have never heard in any training to throw kids out of the window. Once you lockdown in the room you wait for some authority to unlock the door...

Agreed in this case, but they are not pointless. They would be a deterrent. There is no ONE thing to do. No magic bullet here. It needs to be vetted and researched at every locale. I believe they are prudent in many places. like almost everything you have tow weigh risk, cost, time, logistics, personnel. Not an easy and "one size fits all" decision.

In large schools you would have to have multiple metal detectors and assigned entrances for students. It can be done rather quickly, however, it would be very expensive to staff and originally prurchase thedetectors. In Philly, where I visited, they stagger students arrival and have multiple detectors. When I arrived tehy had a special detector for visitors.

There are several and it depends on expensive, it will be an investment, but determination will have to be made after quite a bit of vetting.. We are exploring these options now. I'll post a link.

That's not all detectors do. They do screen fairly thoroughly. I have been through them and observed students being screened. You can train non security to do this. Not every school has SRO's, many elementaries don't and you would be surprised how many high and middle schools don't. Getting into a school in Philadelphia is as thorough as an airport. You are escorted to the main office from the screening by someone. it is interesting that...

That is correct JD. When the State Police conducted active shooter training in our schools and with me they told us this. I posted about this in another thread a while back. There are things schools can do to combat this and locking and barricading classroom doors is the first thing if you are in lockdown. Early reports are he pulled the fire alarm and students started evacuating and then he started shooting. Could be rumors, though. So...

I mentined this to my wife and she said I hadn't intended on buying one and was just piddling around in BB while she was somewhere else. She came in and saw the deal. These suits were on a Clearance Rack. My size was there and we bought them because we knew I would wear them. I remember they weren't all necessarily the color or pattern I liked but I am not that picky. I quit smoking in 2015 and have gained thrity pounds. None of tehm fit...

I bought at least 10 suits from Brooks Brothers and never spent over $500. I shopped the outlets in at Jeffersonville, OH and Pigeon Forge. I wore a suit nearly every day from 2001- 2015. Surely they haven't gone up that much.

I bought all my suits at Brooks Brothers. Good quality and middle of the road. If you are a normal type of size with nothing out of the ordinary, you will find one there.

I am watching the biathletes get their medals, but no, they get a stuffed tiger. I think this would not make me happy. What they do in the Winter Olympics is give them their medals at a nightly ceremony for all winners that day. I would like my medal at the venues as they do in the Summer Olympics. Watching them hold stuffed tigers is quite amusing. Of course, I am NEVER getting one, but if I did....

I didn't know Clay well, but did talk with him a few times. His wife worked with my wife for years and were close colleagues. We occassionally were with tehm at events or ran not them out and about. The grit fighting this was amazing. We were walking the Suspensiln Bridge after a Bengals game last year and Clay was not doing well, but he was determined to walk the bridge. We slowed down and walked with him and his wife and talked with...

This team can beat most teams on any given night, however, I just can't see them doing it three in a row that they would need to in the 10th come tourney time. They have beaten Male, Scott and Ashland. Not bad at all. Lost just as many or more ugly ones, too.

The only way to beat the Pats is to be agressive at all times. Especially on offense. You have no chance if you play conservative.

The shooter in Sandy Hook shot the glass doors out at the entrance. There was a meeting in the office conference room. The principal and counselor heard the noise and came running out. He shot and killed them both. He went down the hall tried the first classroom door it was locked, he kept moving. He tried the second classroom door it was locked he kept moving. He tried the third classroom door it was open, he went in and saw the students...

I never understand why good Northern Kentucky teams play the weak Cincy teams. There are good competitive teams to play there. Unless there is something I don't no about Taft.
