  1. I wanted to take a moment to congratulate a great group of players from Northern Kentucky that finished a fantastic summer. This group of girls had an amazing season and I hope it carries over into their high school season. 54 wins and 6 losses. They won 90% of their games. Back to back top ten finishes at AAU Nationals. Elite 8 Super Showcase Back to back Kentucky State Champions. 6 wins and 1 loss at the Deep South Tournament. 6 tournament championships. 2 runner up finishes The Shining Star Sports roster (sophomore to be): Nikki Kiernan of Newport Central Catholic Allysa Maier of Newport Central Catholic Katey Pittman of Cooper Savannah Brinneman of Cooper Tasha Arnett of Cooper Elly Ogle of Notre Dame Paige Kellam of Notre Dame Carlee Clemons of Notre Dame Sami Hare of Boone County Anna Matchinga of Covington Latin Sarah Reilly of Ursaline Rebecca Whitaker of Georgetown Congrats to these young ladies. I really look forward to seeing you during your high school season.
  2. Jeff is one of the top assistants in the state. He would be a fantastic hire for Beechwood. They would be getting the new trimmer version of Coach Davis!! LOL
  3. David would be a fantastic choice. He is mature beyond his age. I don't know if he would be interested but it would be a very good hire for Beechwood.
  4. Can you give a roster for the Kentucky Premier team?
  5. The girls won the Blue Chip Cardinal Memorial Day Classic this past weekend. It was played at the University of Louisville. The girls went a perfect 5 wins and 0 losses and defeated the host team Blue Chip All Stars in the championship game. Big weekend for a lot of the Northern Kentucky girls!
  6. The girls also won the AAU state championship as 8th graders last year.

  8. Cooper wins the championship over NCC. Cooper finishes the year 20wins and 2 losses. Nice season ladies!! Emily Conner, Brooke Smith are named to the all tournament team and Katey Pittman is named MVP of the tournament.
  9. NCC moves on with a forfeit from Simon Kenton and Cooper beats Ryle. Championship is on Saturday at 1030am at Notre Dame. Both Ryle and Cooper played their original freshman teams. No additions to their rosters.
  10. Nikki Kiernan is a freshman at NCC. She is having an amazing start to her high school career. Very proud of her and what she has accomplished so far. Good luck Nikki!!
  11. Jones really gets after the primary ballhandlers. She does a great job pressuring the basketball and forcing turnovers and fatigue. Jones really pushes the ball out on the floor and makes it hard for teams to run good offense. I really like her effort and toughness.
  12. I am guessing that she attempted less than 10. She didn't miss many of her 3's. She shot a very high percentage. She fouled out with about 4 minutes to go in the game.
  13. In their second meeting of the season Holy Cross won their second straight close game. Holy Cross won by 1 in the first meeting and won by 3 in the second.
